    Wanting to do the calipers on my accord, thankfully I've got a compressor, highly recommend investing in one, Aldi/Lidl sometimes have good deals on them, not much use for painting but can get some power tools for them! If not then i got mines from SGS Engineering, even use it to paint the decking and garden fences if you need to sell the expense to the misses 👍😂

    You're doing a great job, but personally I would replace those pitted pistons with new items. The seal between piston and rubber seal will be compromised with that pitting/rusting and will only get worse with brake fluid being hygroscopic which will in turn make the piston surface rust more, then you could end up back where you started with a sticking or seized piston. Just thinking of your safety.

    • @FNLEW
      @FNLEW  3 роки тому +1

      I get that completely mate. Unfortunately it was a time sensitive situation and I didn't have any new ones to hand. Fingers crossed I can afford bigger brakes before the problem crops up again.

    never whack out a piston 😅 (foot pedal, air compressor, or winding tool) and if it's s refurb then absolutely defo would have changed those front pistons. If you did end up keeping them keep an eye out for seepage around the dust seals.

    • @FNLEW
      @FNLEW  3 роки тому +1

      I've learned my lesson 😂 yeah unfortunately I didn't have new at the time but I'll definitely keep an eye on them.

    Great video son shine 👌 tedious job like mine was 🙈 looking good so far mate 🙌🔥
    Wait until you get your valve clearance done 👌🏻 I noticed a difference straight away as mine was done at 86k first time in its life.
    Putting the rubber sleeve back on the piston and caliper was a bugger 🙈
    Stealth brothers done his wrong with this bit and just fitted it to the caliper and shoved the piston back in without seating it in the piston as well.
    Great job lad, look forward to part 2 😜👌🏻
