“Homecoming was supposed to be the biggest moment of her life”
Who here EVER thinks about their high school homecoming today?
I’m 31 and I can tell you with 100% certainty that I haven’t thought about homecoming since literally that night. Couldn’t even tell you who won or anything about it.
But this just sets the ideology for how this girl will act towards things she doesn’t get as an adult.

@Rafael Felan you realize all you just did was let the whole world know that you're a dude well into his 40's who still reminisces over those few moments back in HS when he got to play dress up with his besties, who each have since joined the long list of other people who don't spend a single waking moment thinking about him.
      Well done.

I think maybe a better way to word it would have been “Homecoming was supposed to be the biggest moment as of right now in her life”. Sure we get older and don’t think much about things like homecoming, but when you’re that age and when you’re in it, it is really important and feels like the most important thing in the world. And that’s ok. That’s the way it should be- let kids be kids for ad long as they can, let their biggest worries be about homecoming, and friends and going on their first date.

For those saying “oh 16 years for rigging a high school homecoming election?!” It’s the logging in and accessing medical records and all that. That’s straight up illegal. Her own friends/classmates have said the girl accessed them before per their request to see know their grades before they were available. She’s even said had access if they needed to know anything. She had no businesses using her mom’s log info or even having it. The only reason for her to have it in the first place that I could think of is if an emergency happened or something. Like, keeping it locked away if something happened to her mom where she couldn’t do her job and a staff member needed to take over or something if that makes sense.
She won the homecoming without all those fraudulent votes so I don’t understand why this even happened, it’s not that serious. It’s a high school election 🙄 Plus, it’s a different world and for some reason people keep forgetting that the oh so snitchy DIGITAL TRAIL will almost always trace back to either you or where you were last.

If they had evidence their attorneys could have given it to the prosecution to have the charges dropped. A brother of one of the girls had access to the voting process and he and a friend made sure his sister made the squad. It was found out and no one was punished, they just had the girl that should have made it join the group and let the sister that did not legitimately make it stay on. So there were 7 song leaders that year instead of 6. But everyone knew and that had to suck for the girl (I don't know if she knew her brother was going to do that or not).
