According to the President, it is time for the country to take additional steps against Beijing's dangerous actions in the West Philippine Sea.

Unless may magaganap na world crisis o nuclear warfare na tumba ang tsina tsaka pagpalain ng Panginoon walang hamak sa Pilipinas, at mangyayari ito hindi dahil sa Pilipinas kundi dahil sa ibang bansa (eg USA, Russia, North Korea, etc). You have to ask why the other ASEAN countries with sea disputes with China not raise tension as high as the Philippines? Do they have US bases in their countries. Im very sad how the Philippine people want all action, but when it actually comes down to war, we have no chance against China, 650 warships (carriers, frigates, Corvettes, battleships, submarines) vs 130 warships (these are just small auxilary ships). Comparing naval warfare, we are heavilly ranked lowest and our maintenance of these ships. Philippine pride is also wanning, more want a comfortable life rather than war. China also has nuclear capability which the Philippines doesnt even have air-to-air defense missiles.
In terms of allies, although the US is VOCAL to support us, we are some of the least of their problems. U.S's military is too spread thin around the globe to actually take on mainland China, and their policy and opinion in FIGHTING in SOUTHEAST ASIA when many are so objected to US Vietnam intervention, you could say direct military intervention isnt something you could count on. Taiwan is also out of the question, when they also claim the nine-dash line as theirs. Malaysia is heavilly siding with the Chinese after investments and military exchange was given they even joined BRICS. ASEAN is just an economic pact. Vietnam doesnt want to have an invasion since they border China, and Indonesia is also friendly due to Chinese investments. Our only ally without risking a world war is Japan, though its shaky.
Also economically, Chinese companies have dominated PH shipping companies (Shoppee, Alibaba, Lazada, Shein), our technology is solely reliant on Chinese hardware (Apple, Redmi, Xiaomi). It might also be surprissing that 1 out of 7 people live in poverty or poor in the Philippines. Plus, what significance is the territory even? Yes theres natural gas and oil. But, can we actually harvest it? Hell no, were so corrupt and poor and underdeveloped we abandoned a nuclear powerplant, what makes you think we can harvest any of those gases and oils?
My solution, resolve this with a compromise, Id say we give up the territory only if China can uphold we get a royalty or a percentage of revenue from it. Or, we request China just buys 15% of what the estimates say the area is worth aswell as to guarantee China doesnt meddle in our domestic affairs and respects our territory as it is. This way it would seem reasonable, since China is also the one protecting, develoing, and refining the resources. Plus we could shift our interests to welcome China as Africa, South America and the rest of South East Asia already does so as China is the biggest trading partner. Take it with a grain of salt since I support the CCP due to its rich culture, politics, history and how it is run, its business centered and patriotic. 🇵🇭❤️🇨🇳
