Does President Yoweri Museveni have valid reason to be unhappy with some of the basic tenets of our sacred laws? Maybe!
Fortunately he has not hidden it from Uganda's legal fraternity and this is traced back to his meeting with the Uganda Law Society in 1987 at which he highlighted dangerous practices which our laws did not address. This is when he called for seizure of the property of those who abuse state resources and challenged automatic police bond and court bail.

Hi Owana, just a small correction the Lawyer who was appointed Ambassador and sued Government was Prof. Edward Ssempebwa and not Henry Kayondo. The case is a locus classicus case of Prof. Edward Ssempebwa versus Attorney General which challenged the legality of the 1986 coup and it relied on the precedent of the famous case of Exparte Matovu
