Thank you so much Bill and Lisa! Great memories and the food looks even better now! They really pack everything into the buffet like the French Quarter. Great video!
I fondly remember that place, with my oldest sister who I traveled with. Sadly, she has passed. Thanks for the memory. New Orleans great food and music.
I remember going here with my younger sister for a graduation dinner for our cousin. I was getting some kind of flashbacks from watching this video and then I realized this is the place.
It's pronounced Gree-yods.... usually served with grits. Always with a gravy. My Mom made the best I've ever had. Boy, I need to get there and eat everything. Fantastic review!! Thank y'all so much.
Thanks for the great review. It's nice to know a reasonably priced buffet can have a great selection of regional items to try. I can't wait to see where you are headed to next.
Glad you guys enjoyed. When we were there a couple of years ago it was awful, both food and service, especially considering the expense. It ended up being around $170 for the three of us, each with one cocktail, and that was before tip. We'd have been happier at the Ruby Slipper or heck even Popeyes.
So interesting seeing the different foods from New Orleans. Y'all always make us want to travel to where you are - here, to try all the great New Orleans food! Your good cheer and humor brighten things up!
@16:57...I love grits, 1st time I tasted that was at Denny's. I put a lot of milk dash of sugar wallah am in heaven...❤ that fried catfish..Bill & Lisa like your vlogging so simple & natural.
The corn (maque choux) is pronounced “mock shoe”. The last time I was at The Court of Two Sisters I was 17. I was with my parents and several of their friends. We sat outside and I ordered Cherries Jubilee. We were there at night so the waiter really put on a show by throwing some of the fiery syrup down the middle of the table. Yes, the teenager in me was very impressed!
Thank you for the tour very beautiful all the food looked wonderful I saw the video Tim Lee did you all three have very good taste buds love you guys have a great week ❤
Thanks Bill and Lisa, for another virtual vacay!! I did see Tim Lee's video at this buffet. I don't remember which video it was but Tim Lee mentioned you guys for a place to eat in Vegas. Live life guys!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip with you. I’ve never been to NOLA - had plans the year Katrina hit and never made plans after that. I need to change that. I was dancin to the music at the end. 😊
This is spectacular. My mom went back in the 1970s and she wanted to go, because the restaurant was in a Clint Eastwood movie. I luv turtles too much to eat the soup, but everything else looks good. New Orleans was probably hot humid. 🥵
O! You guys. I lived just a couple of miles from there in the Garden District. I miss the flavor of NOLA so much. The ppl. The food. Just that vibe is unique to NOLA. I can tell you two love NOLA as well. The food looked awesome. I am a huge fan of HUBIGS PIES! All the flavors are outrageously good. I like the Lemon and the Sweet Potato but you know all of their pies are really good. The Buffet At Three Sisters gave me the vibe of the classic tastes of New Orleans. Especially the sweet potatoes and the way Bill described his red beans and rice and the high seasoning of the Roast Beef. That Turtle Soup is a local dish we always enjoyed at Thanksgiving. Loved it. We left Torrance to help out our dad who moved from TORRANCE to NOLA when he remarried and bought property there and Katrina hit. What devastation we witnessed. But the ppl of NOLA are remarkable the way they came together. We were happy to help be apart of that restoration. Thanks, Bill and Lisa! Great content as always!❤
I have always said The Court of Two Sisters is great if you want to try a big variety of items for 1 price. For me TCOTS inst perfect but its pretty darn good. Bill and Lisa's lunch is pretty indicitive of what you can expect at Jazz Brunch-- IM HUNGRY🍗🍖🥐🍞🍓🥖🍲🦐
Love your videos as always. I loved the part when you said you can’t eat as much sugar because you’re getting older then proceeded to get sweets from the coffee shop and every dessert at the buffet 😂. If that were me I’d have diabetes and left for dead in a sugar coma 😂
Another great video!!!!❤❤❤ all the food looked good. Luckily you guys are adventerous eaters!! I dont know if i would try new different foods!!😂😂😂 im scared of something not tasting good😂😂😂😂 and im not that adventurous 😂😂😂 thanks for such a fun video😊😊😊 always look forward to all your adventures😊😊😊❤❤❤
I only watch the weather part of the daily news. After that I just wait for Bill & Lisa’s latest video and other favorite UA-camr.. then go back to Bill & Lisa’s old video. Specially if I’m going on vacation in places that I know Bill & Lisa covered already.🤣
Hi Bill and Lisa 🙋♀️ You mentioned not being too into sugar as you age. It may not be due to age but all the travel. I prefer the sweets found in Europe and Japan because they aren't too sweet compared to our American foods. Even "same" is different. Example: Nutella. The European version has way less sugar.
Always enjoy when y'all make it to my hometown. Hubig's pies are definitely a flashback to my long ago young days. The chocolate and lemon pies were my favorites. Have y'all ever made it to the Louisiana Purchase Kitchen? It's in a nondescript area of suburban Metairie. I used to go there often, It's crazy good and you can't beat the price.
New Orleans is such a great food destination! One word: beignets! I was also just wondering if you could do a shout-out for my mom in next week's vlog (it is her milestone bday)? Her name is Pat. Thx!
They have the apple pie at Big Al's in the Orleans Hotel & Casino, but it's part of a dessert dish. Not sure if you can convince them to sell you the pie by itself. Good luck!
@@billandlisadon’t listen to that nasty comment you guys are lovely down to earth people and I guarantee you most of us splurge at a buffet, its part of living and having fun. Keep doing exactly what your doing and show us the lovely food on your adventures.

Thanks for the rec, Tim! Agreed, it's the best of New Orleans home cooking in one buffet.
After watching all the news, you two are a breath of fresh air! Bless you both and thank you for easing my head today!!
I second that!🙂
Amen!
Our pleasure! We’re here to take y’all on a virtual vacation! 😃
The buffet looked very good. It has an old school, classy vibe. Love the music and white table cloths ❤

For sure! Look for the shoutout in a couple weeks.
Great video again. I’m gonna add Two Sisters to the list. What time did the brunch buffet switch to lunch?
Thanks Mike. Switchover to lunch was happening between 11:15 or so.

Turtle soup 😳😳😳
Any Gilmore Girl fans in here just automatically here Richard saying mock turtle soup 😅
Corn dish looks like Maque Choux
9:42 was that Turtle soup slow cooked?
LOL!!
Hi
Where is Vegas can we buy Hubigs pies?
They have the apple pie at Big Al's in the Orleans Hotel & Casino, but it's part of a dessert dish. Not sure if you can convince them to sell you the pie by itself. Good luck!
We went there on our last visit and didn’t have a good experience. Liked the jazz portion though.

As a kid?? Am I the only one who never stopped eating them?
