@@Ja.KooLit Hi! Well I got all of the issues fixed by installing fonts-droid-fallback from AUR. I don't know if this is the best way to fix this, but at least it works currently. Same for the icons. The icons that were missing was the CPU icon and the network speed icon? (it says 1.9G for example, not sure what it is). I will join the discord either way, thank you!

as of today, 24 Sep, 2023, theres a new update on archinstall script. Ran update, pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring archinstall to update the script. before running archinstall. Bear in mind, archinstall script is installing kitty and dolphin, which I dont use on my script. . If you decide to to use kitty and dolphin, ensure to change or edit Keybinds.conf located in ~/.config/hypr/configs and waybar modules and scripts inside ~/.config/hypr. Dolphin is not using gtk theme (if I remember it correctly) so it may not support dark and light mode change. Another thing is pipewire audio server has been fixed
Hello, I installed this on my Arch KDE plasma rather than on fresh install. I didnt get any errors while Installation but when i try to login from Hyprland session in new SDDM, i cant log IN. The SDDM keeps refreshing everytime I login. I can login from Plasma environment but thats my old environment.
zzzzzzzz.... I dont know why my comment was gone.. I did reply but it doesnt appear.... check the installation logs. Look for errors... if all ok, on sddm page, press ctrl alt f3 or f2. Log in as normal user, after login type Hyprland ... normally states in there the issue... kindly join my discord server as I need a screenshot
Not sure if I'm commenting too late, but will this work with newer GPUs like the 4090? I'd assume so, but want to make sure before I put aside time to try to set this up.
honestly, no clue. I have only a 3080 mobile gpu. I wanted to switch over to team green on my desktop once 5000 series is out. I dont see a point on switching over from my 6900xt now however, hopefully, somebody can confirm. But I do know that some 4070 users use my scripts and they share some screenshots on my discord

I dont know I havent tried.. But when you decided to use the script, just choose no. and when ask at the end to start Hyprland answer as no then install the desired nvidia drivers and stuff. Cause if you choose Y as an asnwer to nvidia question, it will install latest nvidia-dkms
😞i installed hyprland using your v2.1 script everything was working fine but few months ago an update came, and after that hyprland isn't working on my GTX 1060, it should something related to 'wlroots' i even asked people on hyprland discord but even they couldn't help, so I have switched to qtile yesterday
awww... yeah I remember watching or reading about vaxry's frustration to wlroots. wlroots is being maintained by sway team and he wanted to change lots of things but they simply ignore him or takes forever. And of course nvidia, being nvidia, makes it even more harder for wayland team to fix things
Hey, i installed Hyprland via your script, but the scaling is to small, i have 4k display, on windows there is like a parameter of display scaling (100%, 200%, 300%) is there anyway to change it in hyprland?

wouldnt matter... just make sure your batter is enough... if it dies while installing, then you might have issues. one thing to remember though, most laptop, when they are unplugged, they tend to "slow" down to save battery but result in slower performance

when youre in command prompt, try to reinstall Hyprland paru or yay -S hyprland-git youre posting on my old video, which installer did you use? new or old? I did put a warning that I stop supporting old installers as the configs are just outdated

I may have to take a look at archinstall again in the next few days and report to github just like I reported last month
your gpu is quite old... i dont know if it supports.. my script should work BUT you need to set up the nvidia part first.. when script ask if you have nvidia, choose N.. but I like I said, you need to set up nvidia, ie drivers

hey guys, hyprland is currently broken on nvidia due to a bug in wlroot but it has been fixed in the git and will be working by the next release

as of today, 24 Sep, 2023, theres a new update on archinstall script. Ran update,

I can only know if I see the install-logs. Kindly send the install-logs either by github or via discord
so my dGPU is nvidia and iGPU is amd depending on if my laptop is on battery or not. would it matter when configuring hyprland?

Linux-zen just got stuck, how is this possible on loading boot just says loading Linux-zen loading initial ramdisk

After install, my laptop can’t boot to arch. It go to bios menu. Seem grub boot have problem
so.... its archinstall issue instead? am I correct or you have already installed arch and rans my script?

ctrl alt f2 or f3
log in as usual.
if passwd accept.
Try sudo systemctl restart sddm
then try log in again
For me when i installed the hyperland-v4 it works pretty well but when i logout it just blackscrean an now i can’t login in the hyperland and it login when i switch to my kde it works i have them both installed j
