4:40. Sylvester's rendition is the best of all.
Mel Blanc would be a good crooner
"We interrupt this program to bring you a special news bulletin: you're just an aaaaaangel in disguise..."
Very good transition
Ahh thank you, you too @frankrtwiw
4:26 - Personal fav moment
This track is also played briefly in Room & Bird during the scene where Sylvester talks to Tweety over the phone.

My favorite is both "Back Alley Oproar" (the jazzy instrumental and Sylvester's Spike Jones-like vocals) and "Rabbit Fire" (it's just very charming)
20th Century Fox Print DVD and Blu-ray on July 2, 2013 Originally Released by Warner Bros.
Mel's Bugs voice was different in Elmer's Pet Rabbit, but he later made it the one we know of today in Tortoise Beats Hare.
So glad the Jimmy Stewart voice was dropped for the voice we all love today.
@@jefelix2010 that’s exactly it! I also thought Bug’s voice sounded a lot like Jimmy Stewart!
He used the now classic Bugs voice in his true debut cartoon A Wild Hare which preceeded Elmer's Pet Rabbit.
4:40 Looney Tunes paying tribute to Spike Jones. Fun fact: Mel Blanc appeared on a few Spike Jones recordings, most famously hiccuping on "Clink, Clink, Another Drink".
OHMYGOODNESS.
I’ve practically had Wabbit Who Came For Supper and Yankee Doodle Daffy memorized for years, but it’s only just now clicked that they’re singing the same song!
This is what keeps drawing me to these compilation videos.
for the longest time I thought it was called "Angel in the sky"
Same 😅
Ditto
Dadadadadadada i’m just aan angel in disguissseeee ladadadaadaaa 😅 2:13
Just discovered this channel! Your videos are amazing! I love it when people track down the historical context and cultural references in old media! Did you just start making these? If so, keep it up, they're a treasure!
It's even funnier that Sylvester was the only one to sing the song beyond its title, and yet he didn't actually sing the song. The rest just hum the song, if it's sung at all.
What about daffy?
@@mwayumaavoki-wl8xb Daffy doesn't go into the rest of the song. He just sings, "He's just an angel in disguise" a couple of times.
It's great that this song became a staple of Classic Looney tunes and it's a great song. The song became popular when it was composed for the 1940 Musical, Comedy, Crime film "It All Came True" starring Ann Sheridan, Jeffrey Lynn and Humphrey Bogart. Sheridan sings it a few times in the film and then it became even more well known with it's use in Looney Tunes.
Favorite is from Rabbit Fire. This arrangement was so fun it was recycled into Quackbusters.
This also played in the parody short "Rabbit Habit"
60 years later, finally noticed the Rabbit Taylor sign.
Perfectly Cut 5:03
