- For the 2019 Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Championships, UCLA's Katelyn Ohashi changed up the music and some choreography for her exquisite floor routine that went viral this year with 117 million views, to moves and music that honor influential female artists such as Tina Turner and Beyonce.
Can we talk about how this was literally the *FIRST* time she did this full routine?? Not just in a meet, but EVER. She hadn't done the whole thing in practice before, Mrs. Val said this is the first time she did it with tumbling, they'd just practiced dancing and then tumbling separately. (And yeah, a lot of it is the same as her old routine but STILL. There's different music AND new choreo/timing). *And she got a 10* . That's so impressive.
She brings joy back into gymnastics and shows how fun and happy athletes can be when power isn't abused and when we come together to ensure an athlete's wellbeing, we should all look up to her

Really inspiring, and so cool she did all female artists for her music. I love how the cal girls were cheering you on. Even Utah turned around to watch you! So influential! We’ll miss you Katelyn!

It makes me so so so SO happy that she gets to be a star in NCAA after the cards she was dealt in elite. It’s incredible to see someone enjoy what they’re doing as much as she does.

I love how she is actually smiling on UCLA routines, which shows how much helped her through her body ‘imperfections’ that she got told off by her old coaches.
She is my favorite to watch, she loves to dance and her face shows having a good time, even her team mates following her moves backing her. Of all the years I've watched gymnastics, I have never seen one that has a smile on her face, using fun music, and having a good time while doing a floor routine. She's absolutely fun to watch and she brings joy to everything she does. ❤

Before Katelyn, those female Gymnasts, were quite awkwardly built, with what could only be described as, young boys bodies. However, when Katelyn came along at a "professional level. She was equipped with a most beautiful body shape, which made her look so sexy, it was just beautiful to watch her performing her routine. This beautiful young lady, was exactly the reason, I started watching women's Gymnastics. I honestly believe that, she was the one who started a new look, in the Gymnastics World. She's the first of many beautiful sexy young women, which have followed. We love Katelyn Ohashi.
