As another obsessed Alice Smith fan I totally agree with what Kahlil Joseph says about her ,she's not famous on the level that she should be, how there is a tension her fans have about that ,and how she goes places especially in her live performances that you won't see or hear anywhere else ,I have seen her live six times, seventh time coming next week at City Winery, and I've been blown away each time ! I can't wait to see Alice captured through the eyes of Kalil Joseph great talk !
Such a beautiful talk between the artists on music, legacy, collaboration. also unfortunate @54:21 the way the male curator walks us from their interests to Roy DeCarava rather than the other way around - absolutely the wrong way to introduce someone with DeCarava's legacy - Yet no matter what the work stands on its own merits, excellent, uncompromised, boundless - amazing to see Khalil carrying these legacies forward
tree of live is a gift, just like this exhobition 2017,s Tate Modern, there is no one too blind too see, we cant all go, but you,ll that can, please go, come, for Angela, Martin, and Solidad Brothers, free prez
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Been studying the work of Khalil's for years. Good to finally see an in-depth interview from him.
I have been waiting for a Khalil interview for so long! Thankyou!!
the interviewer has this old film actor kind of accent. i don't know how to describe it. i love it

I really hope Kahlil Joseph makes a feature film someday, it's a crime he already hasn't.
Thank you! This is great
