Questions & Answers: 1) "Your Plug wires are going in the wrong spot" 1A) My plug wires are in the right spot for the type of engine I wanted. . 2) "The engine should be in the front" 2a) In a proper rock & trail buggy - an engine is perfectly fine in the rear, towards the middle. Especially surrounded by a cage. . 3) "Your fake engine is on the wrong way" 3a) Actually - it on the proper way. Are you referring to the forced air induction scoop? If I was travelling at great speeds.. you would be correct.. But as it is only trailing, and crawling - it gets plenty of air. Important thing to remember fellow RC Addicts - It's a Toy, and is meant for fun. Imagination is the key.. :-)
A million thank you's for telling us where the motor came from! I have been looking for the same exact thing for weeks. Another guy had one but wouldn't say where he got it from. Ignorant bastard! You rock man! Thanks for the awesome video and info!
***** You are exactly right! Thanks to your plug for them in your video I went to their site and found it! I just ordered one! Along with a NOS tanks. I can't wait for them to show up.
Hello Aaron . I've loved your vids from the first one I saw ! Congrats on fatherhood ! I'm also a new father and think this is the most tired I've ever been .... And I love every second of it ! Keep posative my friend we all appreciate it !!
For a second i thought that shaft going from the spur into the fake hemi was a make shift scale drive shaft! But i was wondering why you put it in the oil pan, lol then u pointed out that it was a "rumble feature"
That thing reminds me of a monster truck, with the suspension, the body, the frame and of course the rear mounted scale motor! Can't wait to see it in action!
Love the motor look. As soon as I saw you bust it out, I thought of the exact same location and thought "how could he make it look like it's actually hooked to the real motors?" Can't wait to see more. Keep up the good work, medic
Love it man, watch your videos everyday, always looking forward to seeing what is next!! Been into the hobby 15 years and still meeting cool people and having fun!!.
Well for what it's worth, I think your placement of your wires are perfect, I would have done the very same. If anyone else wants it different on their motor, well that will be up to them. I had an old saying when my kids where growing up= the most important word in my design was (my) so if you want to do it different on your motor, it would be (your) motor. Keep up the new, and innovations of opening our eyes to new possibilities, and ideas! Thank you my friend, good job to you from (grampajim)
Wow thinking ahead is the way to go and you make it seem easy. besides your action videos that I love your information on an instructional videos of awesome I am learning a lot. Ths bro
I like this the red wires add to the realism and the engine is pretty cool how it rocks back and forth from the Cross wrench it could have probably fit it under the hood too and have the blower stick out of the hood that'd been pretty cool too
Kool, I can't believe u do the same thing. I do it on my model cars I tear them down, remove the engine paint it to look more legit and add all the wires even for the battery, it takes a wile but the finish product look so sweet.
I have been detailing model vehicle engines since I was 14. I wont tell you how long ago that really was but a while. I still do models in the winter. I have just gotten back into RC vehicles, mostly mine fly. If I ever do an open motor style,I will definitely detail everything out. I even make my own parts using sculpy mold clay or cast my own.
Just a quick suggestion to make the engine even sweeter. Put a micro servo with linkage connected to the butterfly valves on the engine and sync it to the throttle.
awesome looking truck! that was a good find on that model engine. hope the little one arrived ok :) ours will be with us by the time you finish the Beast lol
For the ppl saying the motor should be the other way in a real life monster truck there backwards just like how medic has it and that's a good idea medic I like is. Good work
Just reading viewer comments .... Wow... Everything is wrong, that makes it so right! Lol... Great build ! Still wanna see you pull the sled with this guy.... Love the look you are going for...
Hey medic maybe for future projects you could incorporate the electric motors in the scale engine like cut out a part so the engine would fit in it (thats what she said). Or you could have the model engine as a cover for the electric engine.you don't have to do any of these if you don't want to just throwing it out there for ideas. Anyway congratulations on the baby and love the build looks so good hope to see in future vids.
Love the revival, one thing I noticed though was it looks very tall with the shocks ad tires with that metal cage you might roll easy so you might want to lower it (idk if it would be best to adjust the suspension or the tire pressure). But hey its your rc so do what you want :) and love the engine that is so cool for $6
dude that thing is sweet loving it its wicked the engine idear is mad only a true mad man who loves wat it dose could of come up with that the idear ofthe engine is from a car called snot rod loving the video keep it up
Man i do this stuff on my 1/25 scale models! Except everythings a bit more scale lol. Id recommend you try a product called "sophisticated finishes rust" its a 2 part soultion that you apply to anything, and it makes it look like REAL rust. Dead serious. Love it dude. Good luck with your son. Good luck with everything! Take care man.
Awesome idea and good find on that motor. Congrats on the baby and future RC addict. BTW I just noticed that your watermark (your head) at the top right of your videos looks like you and Randy "The Macho Man" Savage from the old WWF! Pretty cool.
Dude medic you need to hook the fuel line from the fuel tank up to the engines carb too 100% Well after a sound system and lights of course lol great build so far medic!
Sweet video!! Love the rig and that motor. That's crazy I have been there and never thought abought about getting stuff from there lol 🤔 there's also one of those stores in Myrtle Beach South Carolina at the boardwalk. 👍👍
I think it’s cool an see nothing wrong with it lol haters will hate brother that’s all they do . I love the show an all ways have thanks for what you do . Your the reason I’m doing what I do for all my grand kids an their kids when I’m gone they will end up with a lot of stuff lol .

I agree on number 2and 3 that's just idiots talking but on number 1 what kind of engine were you going for
RCSparks Studio Facts and it's BEAST!

It's just a toy people!!! The joy of the hobby is learning and custom work! Rock on medic, looks a mighty nice I reckon
The Beast is a BEAST! I can't wait for the next installment.
The hex wrench and making the engine rumble was sweet. Nice creativity.
Seriously, how much more awesome can this truck get?!?!?!
Note: unless it's a over head cam motor, plugs go through the valve cover. Like the 4.6 dohc import motors, and a lot more - including the HEMi
Not if it's a standard, old school V8. Then the plugs are in the side of the heads.
Ryan Davis watch?v=cWUomjdI9vk Is that old school enough for you?
Ha. Good call. The classic HEMI!
For a second i thought that shaft going from the spur into the fake hemi was a make shift scale drive shaft! But i was wondering why you put it in the oil pan, lol then u pointed out that it was a "rumble feature"

I love the casual manner and flow in which you use the "that's what she said" joke lol great build medic
Love the motor look. As soon as I saw you bust it out, I thought of the exact same location and thought "how could he make it look like it's actually hooked to the real motors?" Can't wait to see more. Keep up the good work, medic

Congrats to you and your wife!
you make the best videos ever you got me into the rc hobby so thanks
Awesome, it looks like the motor drives the transmission. Tip. 1/4 inch brake tubing makes great scale exhaust pipe
I think it would look really cool if you put on a magneto to go with the wires. But it still looks really cool!
I saw those engines earlier this year but I thought they were too small for an scx10... boy was I wrong! Looks great!
That's awesome!!
Not that you asked, but I would put the engine in the front and have the hood cut out so the blower sticks out.
loving this build!
Its a monster. Loving it.
Hey man u do a good job with the camera. Don't doubt yourself
Just a quick suggestion to make the engine even sweeter. Put a micro servo with linkage connected to the butterfly valves on the engine and sync it to the throttle.
