Why must some of you try to ruin this video with hateful comments. I understand that you might not agree with any of the faiths shown but does that restrict you from seeing the awe in the architecture and camera work and the effort that went into creating this video? These videos are meant to inspire and show places of the world where most of us are unable to visit, not to force religion at you. hyper If you haven't noticed, throughout history, religions have been used to pit ppl against each other in more serious "hate" than internet bickering. :P So naturally it has this "mine is better than yours" aspect about it. It's actually this very fact that makes these symbolic places important to certain parties. For all life on earth competes for resources. And those who can inspire masses against another will win more of them. All life consumes other life, just humans are masters of homicide for the sake of survival and prosperity. Some call it selfishness, greed, wrong, but...true judgement has always been through Trial by Combat! ;)

No I watch a few. But I was really talking about a general audience. Most religious videos have a more religious audience. Devin is much more broad. And religion is so heavily debated that its hard to get a lot of likes unless it's directed at the "target" audience.

I also appreciate and love Devin's work. Just because I don't share his religion doesn't mean I can't like him and what he does.
The whole purpose behind this video is to unite, not to divide as many of the petty comments here suggest.
Telling someone they will burn in hell because they don't believe as you do is immature and does nothing to encourage people to embrace your faith.
Likewise, smugly asserting that their is no God and challenging the faith of those who believe in a deity crosses a line.
Instead, let's all take the high road, embrace all faiths (or non-faiths) and enjoy this great video.

I can see what you're getting at mate, but it isn't the whole picture. Religions have caused millions of deaths, caused billions to suffer, caused children to become indoctrinated and most importantly they aren't true. These are extremely good reasons to challenge religion and religious people. I don't get how you don't see this.

Whether you believe in what's being said or not, there's a certain level of respect that you should show as a human being. I love hearing evolutionary theories, looking into them, watching videos about them, etc. Just the same, I love learning about all sorts of religions. The more you understand, the better grasp you have on the world and the less ignorant you will be.
I urge you guys to show that level of respect for others in the comments here. It doesn't matter what you believe, let us all just share the beauty of this video.

Well said! I'm on a Christian school in the Netherlands and we had religion education. We only learn about Christianity the first two years. The rest, we also learnt about the Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism. We even went to visit the synagogue and mosque in the city where I live.

Basically, they put the camera on a rail. The rail moves slowly and the camera takes pictures continuously.
no I'm pretty sure they use pancrop wich is extremely easy. Record the video with a still image. Go into pancrop (what it's called in Sony Vegas) go to the start of the scene, zoom in a bit go to the very left, go to end of scene , move to very right , then exit out, ez

Interestingly enough, even though I am completely opposed to LDS, I have a bit more respect for team Supertramp after this video. I always knew Devin was a Mormon, but one of the reasons I had limited respect for him was he never used the massive platform he had to tell people about what he believed.

He does have a couple videos that are religious in some way but you also have to look at the skill it takes to make them. It was President Thomas S. Monson, the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Actually, it is President Uchtdorf for the beginning and end. The middle is Elder Holland. (Refer to intro to the vid) both are current apostles and witness of Christ in the LDS Church.
President Uchtdorf was born in Germany and grew up in mostly in western Germany post WW2, so that is his accent that makes it hard to understand.

The holy side of Jerusalem according to the United Nation is part of Palestine not "Israel".
Well they're wrong and in the bible, you know 4000 years before the qur an it says it expands from the Euphrates river to the red see. Look at Israel now. It is in Israel. Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion and is the first. Christianity a root from Judaism ( like it or not) and Islam is a carbon copy where they changed which son is good and bad of moses. Along with the names. Literally they came 4000 years later and said it was wrong. They don't want to admit it.

Depends on negations, Palestinians have a stronger claim to east Jerusalem, but the Israelis have a stronger claim to West Jerusalem, West Jerusalem is mostly Jewish while, East is Mostly Palestinian with a few notable exceptions, also Isreal has been in control of west jerusalem since 1949, therefore being on the internationally recognized Isreali side of the green line, while East Jerusalem, was captured by Israel in the 6 Day War in 1967 from Jordan. It is not a black and white issue.

Honestly the content killed it for me. I think you've done better subjects. Visually on par with other past projects you've done for sure; but overall not the best video. A less polarizing subject would have been better. Hell had you just removed the narration it would have improved the video. Just let the sights speak for themselves, not some guy with a message proselytize the viewer on what they should see.
You can always turn the volume off if it takes away the experience from you :) At the end of the day we are story tellers though, and we don't want to create content for people to watch, walk away, and think nothing of it, instead we want to instill emotions, and give people a reason to think, to inspire, and to perhaps even question the very nature of themselves, if we can do that, then for us, we have achieved our goals as storytellers, for the stories we tell, we want people to walk away with a new perspective :)

***** Instill emotions, provide reasons to think, inspire, introspection... things you not just did but blew through the roof with your "The Social Revolution - Remember Me" video. Honestly that was one of the videos that brought me and kept me on your channel. That was a video with more than just good visuals. The content, the music, the visuals, the pace, the narration- they had a heartbeat and it dragged you in and when the video was over you felt like you'd only been watching for 30 seconds.This one however; the flow was all over the place. Different narrators, music kept changing, it went from hyper drive to slow to fast to hyper drive to back to slow. I mean I get it, "the holy land" as you guys put it is a place of many cultures and few religions. But the impact, the video itself had, told a less effective story than your other video "TSR -RM." I'm sure this video will be liked by many, especially those who have some tiny connection to that place whether it be their religion, their heritage, culture or their place of life. But it sure won't be as great to anyone without those preexisting connections. A great story shatters boundaries and breaks barriers, this one just pandered in my humble opinion.
