  • We're always looking for ways to "Escape Quarantine" on this channel. Join us as we get outside, travel, explore, ask questions, discover stories, and make memories as a family.
Today we're starting a series of videos and beginning the restoration/rebuilding process on a 1931 Ford Model A Woody Wagon. My Father-In-Law, Tim, has wanted one of these for a very long time and has had his eye on this one for a couple years. It's all there but it's in parts and pieces. Some parts have already been purchased new, and some have been restored. Others, need to be rebuilt or reconditioned.
Join us on our trip to McAllen, TX to pick up all the parts, and stay with us as we build the car.
We hope you all stay healthy and safe during this crazy Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic! In the mean time! Get outside! Enjoy your families and loved ones, make memories together (at a safe distance of course). It's our hope and prayer that we all come out of this stronger together in the end.
    Thanks for watching!

Just came across your Model A Woody series. My Dad also restored a Woody, it was a 1929. Mel's husband and my Dad worked together to craft the body parts and shared their knowledge while each restored their '29 wagon back in the '70s. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

I could listen to Tim's voice all day long. He has a very soothing way of speaking. I look forward to watching this vehicle come back to life.

Can't wait to see the progress of your restoration. We have a 1929 woody that my husband's dad restored in 1966. We had a friend that is a master woodworker refinish the wood during quarantine this summer. Yours should be a work of art.

Love your videos. I have a 1930 Tudor Sedan I restored in high school (1970s). Life long Model A interest. I have been wondering about moving the car in a rental truck as opposed to using an open car transport or trailer. Did you get a rental truck with ramps to move the Woody Wagon? Wondering how to load the car? Thanks. I look forward to each of your videos.

Hi. Thanks for watching. We made some ramps for the rental truck to push the rolling chassis up. If it was a complete car we would have wanted a car hauler. We just use an open trailer to haul our finished cars now.

Curious: did this come from the estate of Tim J?

Women see the storage and all they see is junk. Men see the storage and all they see is treasure. A vast divide.

Have you heard of anybody selling woody kits or even plans anymore? The place that made yours as well as two or three others have all went out of business.

I will check on this for you. There is a company in Lauer Michigan that has done this, but their facility burned down. I’m not sure if they do this work now or not. Thanks for asking!
