Just bought the same unit...love it. The wife operates the leaver and I load it. She also loads it with some of the smaller rounds. I do most of the bigger rounds. If they are 30 inches or bigger I stand mine up and so it that way.

These are quite impressive for what they are, and for me it beats swinging a 15 lb. hammer and wedge! Place a slab of wood or some bricks around the foot when splitting in the vertical position, it will keep the rounds from tilting away from the wedge

I love my 30 ton country line, its the best tool in my garage. Splits anything without a problem!

I love my splitter as well, and my new Husqvarna chainsaw, in the next few weeks i will do a 6 month review of this machine! And how well it is holding up to my usage! So far this year i have split about 8 cords of wood, everything from pine to locust, maple, walnut, and oak. From 6 inch up to 30 inch rounds. I prefer to split on the horizontal plain vs the vertical because of my mobility issues, but if I can lift it, it will go on this splitter, if I can’t then I either wedge it a part or make some “winter noodle” to lighten the load.

I've had mine for 16 months and split wood as a side business. It is very heavy to move around so I use a trailer dolly and also put a trailer jack stand on it.

Mine remains stationary for the most part, and thank you for the advice of the trailer jack, seeing as I split mostly on the horizontal plane, placing it under the splitting foot would prevent tipping with larger rounds! When we do move it, now, I use the JD lawn mower we just got, but that is very seldom.

I’ve got one, and love it. Powers thru everything I’ve fed it so far.

So far it has been a great machine, but I have only had it for a short while less then 3 months!

@@thesmallwoodlot433 I found that positioning the log table beside a wood rack that is about 5 ft high, keeps the larger split halves from rolling off while your splitting the other side into smaller pieces . The table could be bigger. I may fabricate something in the future.

@@GeoffPSU I was thinking the same thing, but what I’m going to do instead is to poison it next to my trailer, and have a few ramp planks stretched between the rack and the trailer as a feed table/ catch all set up!

I am having a problem with the 30 ton rating. Considering a 4 inch cylinder; 30 times 2000 divided by a 4 inch piston (12.5 sq. in. ) equals 4800 psi at the pump? Where do you find a pump that is rated at 4800 psi even on an intermittent duty cycle?

That a just the model and the “engineer’s design” I didn’t build it nor did I do the math behind it😅 all I know is it is still running strong and working hard!😂

Before you purchase this splitter, make sure you know what you need, the countyline 30 ton splitter is a great unit for a homeowner like myself, but if you are getting larger rounds then you may want something with a “log lift” or a “feed through table design. Remember there are some great splitters out there so figure your budget and what options you may need!
      And above all… happy splitting!

I’m looking into buying one of these. I like the fast cycle time and seems well built. Is the engine always tough to start cold? Every video I’ve watched with the kohler engine is a 3 pull start.

It is not always difficult, i have however a habit of trying to start it with the “kill”switch in the wrong position, but other than that it has taken everything we throw at it!

So if you wondering if i would recommend this unit, i would! For it’s price range! If you’re looking for a personal use machine it is a very good choice! If you do decide on the county line splitters, go for the biggest one you can get, but don’t waste money on the 4 way wedge, the cross cutter is too short, and it increases the load on the hydraulics, and ram. Will be doing another review on this splitter after the winter season is over then i will let everyone know what i think could be improved or what changes i plan on for better production in my wood splitting at home!

This machine has not let me down yet!, and I don’t think it will for a while! I could have bought one of the smaller unit, a 25 ton or a 27 ton, but my wife said go for the biggest... so I went for the biggest I could afford and also justify!

Hello Gene, each week, and before each use I inspect my equipment, yes I understand the hazards of hydraulic equipment, and sharp edges, this is why I inspect all equipment, and only let my run it when I am around!

Hi Gettin' there! Looks like a nice splitter! I like that side rack. We really like watching Gord on GP Outdoors and saw you left a comment on his channel. We'd really appreciate if you'd give our channel a look if you have a minute. Thanks in advance!

I found you a fix for your log splitter. Please watch this. Log splitter stroke limiter, Save the Acorns1264.... (there channel) There is even a better video out fixing this problem, I will try to find this for you. Log splitter stroke limiter May 31, 2022 We split shorter logs and needed a way for the splitter to automatically stop on the return stroke. Now we can start the return stroke and grab the next log without worrying about it returning to the full 24” stroke and having to wait 10” of nothing for it to touch the log. There channel is Save the Acorns. I think you will like this. Save the Acorns@savetheacorns1264.
