- after a sucessful repair its taking apart my house again
i sprayed the membrane with liquid rubber to conserve it, doesnt change the sound. full cap replacement, replaced half of the transistors and the a2611 optocouplers.
the rattling comes from stuff in my room being rattled into a pile of undefined mess of matter
song hey now from london grammar
Hey gamerpaddy, I suggest you also replace the Passive Radiators with the Earthquake Sound SLAPS M-10 Passive Radiator. (It's about $65-75). This a much better designed PR that will give you lower bass using less power (the transfer from active to passive will occur around 38HZ rather than 25HZ). I was very impressed with the improvement and it's a simple install, unbolt the old one, drop in the new one, screw back the bolts. Take you 5 minutes. Gilbert Rios and I have posted vids of Sunfires with their new PR's. Thanks
that would be tricky, this is a EU version which has a stepdown transformer bolted to the back of the passive radiator. would have to drill holes and what not.
unless it breaks , i will keep it original.
@@gamerpaddy OMG, I never heard of that before! Well you couldn't use the Earthquake PR because there's nothing behind it to attach the transformer too. There's no rear frame, spider, etc. That's what makes it so good.
What's the size? it has a lot of bass.
its a 10inch speaker in a 29x29x29cm box weighting almost 30kg. its "rated" at 2700W and has another 10inch passive radiator on the other side. i got two of them, maybe to a bass-test someday
Hello! Could you put a link to this remix? I have looked all over and can't find the same song. Much appreciated! Thanks!
thats not a remix, i just had other music playing in the background
@@gamerpaddy Oh, ok! Thanks!
Is it Bottoming out
its the stuff in my shelves that makes the unwanted noise and the chair its sitting on, i had to use a rubber mat to make it not wander around the room
@@gamerpaddy oh lol ok because I’m getting one
they are known for having bad electronics you may need to get it fixed up sooner or later, also the passive membrane is known to come apart on some units but if they work they destroy the thing you live in lol
