- In order to promote his 100th album, "I Love Movies", Ray Conniff appeared on a Los Angeles TV morning program and together with eight singers gave a rendition of "Somewhere My Love" (+ encore: "Brazil"). The singers were: Sean Spurr, Erin Theriault, Mike Redman (not Phil Gold as stated in the video, sorry), Laura Savitz, Kimberly Switzer, Troy Kennedy, Lesli Tyson, and Jeff Dolan. Sound: Dick Bogert
This is one of my all time favorite , "Ray Conniff Singers" songs .My Mom and Dad and also my Grandpa , used to sing this song .And my dad played his albums and also had 8 track tapes.Tim.
Geat person and so was his son Jimmy Conniff. Jimmy and I were together for 21 years.
Absolutely stunning and gives me chills every time I look at the video. I'm afraid this kind of performance by these talented performers will never occur again.

What a thrill it would have been to meet the man. I was a member of choral groups through high school and college. Conniff's groups show how it should be done. We won't see another like him in my lifetime, perhaps ever.

Manfred - The tenor on camera left in this group is actually Mike Redman and not Phil Gold, & the female singer (must have been 2nd Soprano but I don't recall her name) closest to center on camera right was not Lesli. Lesli was the other singer between Troy and Jeff.
Thanks for posting this. I am glad this was not a lip sync'd performance. Ray always tried to do that whenever possible. I think he had the confidence to do it here because Dick Bogert was in the sound booth for the broadcast.
