Just wondering, when you use your microphone plugged into your iPhone to make a video recording of yourself, how far is the microphone/phone from you/what distance tends to work best , what height, and which microphone settings do you select? @@verborgenheitte you’re welcome! You can adjust the settings and gain on the mic app so if it’s further away (it’s usually at least a metre, and works best if it’s two to three metres away for me personally). This also allows for the camera to get a full body shot and the entire piano/ most of the piano. As to height, as long as it’s a bit higher than your sight line you should look correct, and make sure you look into the camera as much as you can do the jury feels like you’re looking at them directly. Play around with different settings and see which one is the most flattering for your voice - we’re all different!
