- Опубліковано 5 сер 2018
- The Kirkstone Pass is a road that links Lake Windermere to Ullswater. This Slow TV Driving Video takes you on a journey, rising to spectacular heights and then the road falling beneath as you descend into Ullswater. The pass takes you to a height of around 450 metres as it winds through a caverns mountainside. The Lake District National Park is located in the UK in Cumbria and can easily be accessed by car and some rail connections.
The Lake District in England is one of the greatest Places to visit in the UK. We'll be doing more Slow TV drives in the Lake District in the future. If you enjoy Slow TV or Driving Videos, subscribe for more.

Have you driven the Kirkstone pass or would you like to try it?
Great area for a holiday. We have our favourite places.
Beautiful views! Hope to go one day.
Nice place to drive!
This is a 'fun' drive in winter; we drove over here from Ambleside on my passplus test in search of icy roads. Safe to say we found them.
Nice vid mate
Try the road from Hardraw in North Yorkshire, to the Tan Hill Inn. There are a few S bends on there you'll need to be in 1st gear to tackle. It makes Kirkstone Pass seem like a speed bump....
Now you ought to try the drive along the combined route of Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass - the steepest roads in Britain, (and near to the steepest in Europe,) combined with some really sharp and abrupt 'switchback' turns makes it more like a ride on a roller coaster than a drive in the country, though it's something everyone should try (at least) once.
Its beautiful but it's no hard not pass. Now there's a road you have to respect!!!
Did it a few weeks ago, but we took the short-cut from Ambleside called "The Struggle". It's a cow of a single track road, joins the main road at the Kirkstone Inn ( where we had dinner). Try it, sometime? Make a good supplement to this one.
