This was a solid song to demo this plugin on. The overall lofi aesthetic once the Magic Flow was tweaked on the mixbus helped maintain the “lofi” feel but also polished it commercially at the same time in this example. Amazing new release from everyone. Arigato ✌🏾🏆

I must say. I am really loving this plug. Allows me to get the voice tones I want before my ears get tired. So when I return to the mix I still like the changes I made once my ears have reset.

Great video. For newbies this is a great masterclass, lots of informations that can be used with other plugins (not just this one)
In my opinion, this is one of the best AA plugins. It's the ultimate channel strip tool. I use it to render each track at the end to make it sound better. Most important thing. It is really easy to use and easy to grasp. Small tip. After setting it up as in this video. At the very end. I tend to go back to dynamic eq and crank it up a little more at the very end. Then sound gets more dimensional.
Great walk thru. I love Josh's mixes, and his tutorials. So I have one question. Would you put this plugin on while mixing (in a rough setting) or really wait to the end - like a "shine" thing. I know you can do both, but I was just wondering how Josh would use it?

Hi Steve. Seen you play many times in the 90's In Amsterdam etc. Also bought 'Continuous Cool - Automatic/Manual' when it was released in '96. Only learned a few years ago you are Continuous Cool. :-) Anyway.. back to the plugin.. testing in a house/techno track and deffo liking it on busses. Easy to go overboard tho. Groetjes

Josh, I didn't see an "Auto-Gain" toggle, which in general attempts to prevent "human preference for louder is better" as a confounding factor in your mixes and masters. Does “Magic Flow” have an "Auto-Gain" toggle, and I just missed seeing it?

My first purchase of an Acustica Audio product was an emulation of the BA-6A, and after watching the Magic Flow Video, I may purchase it for the first time in a while. I was particularly interested in the Reso CTL section; while it is possible to combine Magic Flow effects with other companies' products, I thought it would be more efficient to handle it within a single plug-in.

Every time I use it it crashes my FL Studio session within 5 minutes. Most times with the first adjustment I make. I use other Acustica plugins every day, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Did you have any crashing issues? Maybe its not good with FL.
It wont show up in logic, sgould i deep sign via terminal, its the only crack of acustica thats buggy on mac

why does acustica plugins have the worst client downloader in history? and why are there10 different plugin files in the plugin folder lol ... i cant get over how other companies can do this properly and keep CPU usage low. Acustica needs to spend some R&D on getting their file situation sorted out.
Because their plugins are bloated with code that is nothing to do with the plugin itself. It causes it to run slow and high CPU. The makers refuse to get rid of the junk and its GB's worth in each plugin.

First of all thx a lot for showing us Magic Flow! But why you used a song with distorted sounds for introducing Magic flow???? Clean sounds for showing what the plugin can do would be much better. Distorted sounds are too distracting :-( And you can't really locate with this distorted sound/s what the plugin is doing.

Another plugin from AA that won't work in 96khz sessions in Logic on the Mac Studio M1 Ultra. Only major plugin company that does this. Selling plugins that don't work, or ever get updated.
I assume you have submitted bug reports to the proper people?
That's not true. Screenshot with M1 Pro CPU and Logic 96Khz Session. M1 Ultra is different in number of cores/GPU, but cores used by the plugin are same number for every model.

AA plugins gets updated pretty often, at least the ones i own 🤷♂️ cpu consumption been low for me (still use more than some other companies) but manageable.
Magic flow is pretty heavy tho, but i love it so i’ll use it.
@@elkolo2857 I'm not seeing updates for mine for over a year. I have 10 Aquas and all the free ones (Another 5). All updates stopped Dec - Feb 2022. Diamond EQ is Dec 2021!!
This time period is when they suddenly started bringing out lots of new plug-ins starting with the Fire series, and essentially releasing a plug-in every three weeks. Instead of going back and fixing the collection for M1. Even many of the new ones plugs are not working at 96 kHz in Logic. I've told them 8 times. They did admit there was a problem. That was 6 months ago and they've done nothing.

The probability you can get better mix Is lower than the damaging one, pity because the Gui idea Is very interesting but It Is very ease to ruine the Song. Furthermore You are restricted to few genres and style of music for a specific signature of sound, limitation...and the choice of this bad Song to demo It Is not casual, It seems to cover these points, anyway I love AA and use some of their plugins, I Will go a try..probably for the vocal, not definetely for mastering or master bus in mixing..

I think his point was that a plugin or piece of gear wouldn’t be looked at as being responsible for making something ‘bad’ or ‘worse’ for an experienced engineer since your ears and taste are what dictates that. Not leaving it up to/blaming gear with tweakable parameters.
Great track but it’s too garbled to be a good demo. Have to search up a demo on a track that doesn’t sound like 2004 DSP destruction low fi. Not gonna spend this kind of money without hearing what it actually does on things like hihat, guitar, normal drum kit or 808. Awful track to demo any plugin with.
the demo song is just terrible trash, but your plugin is awesome, tested and bought it in an instant after realizing what it can do, great job !

The plugin is nice, but please, could you fix the bugs? The activated preamp disables the signal e.g. in the mix bus hard preset.
