I love those sincere talks. They bring us so much valuable informations, thank you guys.
Nice episode! I love these straight up talks about mixing and engineering. Much needed
Goat talk. Nobody knows what sounds good, but we all know when something feels good. I alleviated stress and enhanced my work ethic once I stopped being discouraged about what sounds good and focused on not stopping until it feels good. Josh completes that thought by saying, “when I give my energy to a mix it’s reciprocated- instantly” it is the only part of the process that gives you back everything you put into it. And then some. And that’s why I love it too.
Thank you all very much for this one - some truly golden advice!
Good episode! I like what they were saying about focusing on feel and emotion. I only started having success when I quit worrying about the details and concentrated on the vibe. Now if I could remember to print more rough mixes....
This is gold!!
Fantastic advice. Intuition is so important in all aspects of creativity!
Looool first of all, why is Josh barefoot? 😂Love it!
Secondly, at 6:12, he talks about his experience doing a couple 100 rough mixes first inspires me. I don't think I've done up to 200 rough mixes in my career, but I always find myself getting a bit hurt when my boss doesn't use my mix as final. I just need to be patient and embrace doing the rough mixes!
Awesome episode! The best in years imho!
Thanks for this! Loved it!
Great episode
🔥
Great Stuff!!! Thanks!!!
this episode was fire!!

I'm looking everywhere for the krk beat maker contest sign up and can't find, I need help brotha.
Let’s go!!! @dafingaz
I’m definitely guilty of polishing the shine rite off a track to the point that by the time my ears are fatigued I’m changing sounds. During the final mix!😩. Gotta love it though 🤷♂️🤣
Thanks for this great episode!
I think mastering engineers still will have work, but maybe not from the best mixers in the world ;) Most people aren't as skilled as these 4 increddible mixers. Yes, If you are a world class mixing engineer, probably mastering wont add or subtract alot out from your mix. When I do mastering for artists, most mixes lands in "decent with a good vibe" category, those can often be pretty vastly improved by making the bass tighter, fixing some resonances, adding the right punch and colour for example.
where did Josh's shoes go lol
Shoes…not required
wear shoes, for god´s sake! is this a lunatic asylum?
Awesome episode
