Brian just seems truly genuine in his passion and that means a lot to those who share that passion. We know our own kind. Thanks for sharing your time, both of you.
Two great guys in the detailing industry. Having worked with Yvan hands on was beneficial in the work that I do day to day. My first ceramic coating was taught to me by sir Yvan. Thank you Yvan and Brian for all that you do for the industry.
I love Brian, great guy!! Ivan you also! 👍 👍 👍. Brian says the truth, do not underestimate the Sealant polymer!. I use ceramic-free products like sonax polymer net shield, sonax bsd, and now meguiar's hybrid paint coating, which is a real coating, not a sealant, based on polymer but it's fantastic!. It replaces meguiar's M188 deep-crystal paint coating, which today is very difficult to find, but which was a great nano-polymer coating!!. Currently I love the meguiar's hybrid paint coating combo, with meguiar's M799 pro hybrid ceramic bead booster as a topper or maintenance product. Or even a trio, meguiar's hybrid paint coating + meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax + M799. It's ultra durable but with a little bit of ceramic 😜
Top quality bloke. When you get people like Brian, Yvan and Mike Phillips who share their craft and skills with others. Nothing selfish just appreciation and passing on the knowledge.
Thanks for that small interview. Was great to see Brian being asked with questions and in front of camera instead of behind, he and his gang deserved the likes. I have learn so much with him, the way he show the tips and technics, simple and easy just like you do Yvan. Hope to see you this summer !
SO Genuine. The both of you are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for this......almost like a Fireside chat. Well done gentlemen. I call Brian "The Professor" due to his methodology on his You Tube Chanel. And you Yvan..... you are the Sensei. Bravo guys.
Thank you. I am enjoying detail business academy, and Brian's input. A question for Brian please: Do you ship to Canadian destinations and would that happen to be free shipping?
A great interview 👏 👍! You are quite the Detaler Yourself! I've been watching Brian's channel for about 3 years. He's a really great teacher just from his Videos.
Yvan and Brian, perhaps the best detailers on UA-cam? I have gained more knowledge in this industry from these two guys. Informative, no BS, is what I Like. I have been caring for cars for over 45 years, and still learning from them. Since I retired from Education, I have more time to learn about the business, an old dog can learn new tricks! Thank you!
Thank you , like you, Brian and I strive to learn everything we can. Just because we’ve been around the block a few times doesn’t mean that we can’t learn from someone that started yesterday.
Hi Yvan! I wanted to ask something non related to this video if i may (if i may not, feel free to ignore this) Will you be interviewing yourself? your story, how you got started, etc etc? :) thank you for sharing your knowlage!
Hi Yvan. I'm struggling to find the video where you spoke about interior cleaners...you were discussing how apc's should not be used, and talked about actual upholstery cleaners were best...you mentioned they should do two things - clean and protect? You said there were some chemicals out there that did both...you didn't name any. I'm avoiding apc's for cloth, and I think you recommended dry foam cleaners that cleaned and protected all in one? Can you please refresh me on what types to use for cloth? and/or help me find what video you were discussing this. You also mentioned something about enzyme cleaners being good as well. thanks Yvan
This is a real treat, seeing two of the best people that have a wealth of knowledge and experience, along with a genuine passion, together and sharing their thoughts. I have learned so much from both of them about products and techniques for better care of car surfaces.
Another great interview. Brian always seems like such and honest and down to earth guy. Was happy to see you interview him as in my opinion hems one of the best on UA-cam. Now if you could get Larry???
Yes you has Marster the wet sanding the over spray lines and of course the Totary.....it wasn't and rupes and the fancy DA it was the makita maybe the dewalt that's where i learn to cut and polish after learning from a professional detailer how to detail......this is a really awesome video 🙏🏾
Two of the greats! Lovely to see you guys collabing! I’d love to see you work on a beater car together and totally transform it! Thanks for a really enjoyable video. 👍
I really like Brian's channel although I haven't had the time lately to check most out. I loved his compound/polish testing videos as I'm a technical geek in this game. Agree with Brian about not ignoring polymer sealants but I will add that also don't ignore a Silica paint sealant (cream not a spray) which will usually give a higher gloss than polymers due to a higher film build (thicker) though some formulations use solvents that may reduce that gloss. I've used a silica paint sealant liquid since the 1990's and it's still gives the most gloss and clarity of any sealant and can last a couple years no problem in some cases.
I've been watching Brian's videos since he started the channel...he's been an amazing source of information and teachings that have shaped my ideas, and given me confidence....I've also watched any Yvan video I could find over the years - he saves me time and money by giving away years of experience for free...helping me to avoid the hype, the myths, and so called "right" ways of doing things in the industry...He's helped me time and time again to provide proof that my aspirations to become more and more efficient are a healthy pursuit...Yvan gave me confidence to voice my opinions on old and outdated ways that waste time and money...and how to see things from the customers' eyes...he is the efficiency expert - and he helps you exercise good business sense and simplicity! I can't thank you guys enough...God bless you both!
This was a really informative interview and it is easy to see how passionate and kind hearted Brian is. His UA-cam channel can absolutely teach a person to detail and is a must subscribe. Those Apex products absolutely work as advertised and I will continue to use them. Plus Brian will help anyone who has a question about his product line which is exceptional customer service. Thank you two for the interview.
Great interview. I’m an enthusiast who now loves detailing vehicles. I’ve learned so much from both of you. I like to be as efficient as possible while doing my own details ( friends are now wanting me to do their cars). I would love to know Yvan if you will be holding any classes in canada( Quebec or Ontario). I know I would learn so much being hands on! Thanks again to you both!
Brian is one of the GOATS in the industry!
Definitely!
This guy saved me a couple of hundreds of dollars on products I did not bought
His reviews are very good.
This guy advised me not to blow the money but showcased quality products in which led to the spending 😅😅
