I’m you’ve heard it before from FPV pilots around the world that the DJI FPV Drone is no good, not a ‘proper’ FPV drone, has a terrible camera, flies bad etc..’
But this is not true. I have flown the DJI FPV since it’s launch and it is a great quad. The video quality is very good. The O3 transmission is incredible - totally unmatched, and the RTH is very reliable, as with all DJI drones. Along with its smart batteries that manage their own voltage and health, its 12+ mins of flight time in full manual mode, the DJI FPV is a great tool for capturing cinematic FPV footage. The footage shown in this video was all shot on the DJI FPV’s camera and coloured graded in post.
Granted it may not be as agile as a 5/7inch custom build, and we cannot get access to the gyro data in the video files for post stabilisation, that’s not to say it’s not a great drone with plenty of ability.

Any freestyle flyer will agree it's underpowered as hell

@ChrisParayno for freestyle, and diving, it is very underpowered. But for slow cinematic or chasing something around that 60mph mark. It's good. But you gotta push throttle hard to go that fast. So, I agree and dont.
Totally agree if you are just cruising otherwise the drone has zero durability, It’s mega expensive when you break something. It’s super heavy, not very agile. It’s better to build your own diy fpv drone

the only thing that broke was the props and one ripped motor cable.
all fixed in under an hour

It’s a great Fpv drone. You just can’t compare it to a traditional Fpv drone thing. They are two completely different things, so people shouldn’t compare them in the first place. It’s like saying a Ford F-150 is a better vehicle than a Toyota Prius. There not even remotely alike, because there not supposed to be.
Yee its fun and relaxing to fly dji fpv. Normal drones it's like being a living rocket. Great nature drone
Bro I was going to go down the same argument of comparing it to cars.. 😂 dji fpv is out the box OEM bliss.. freestyle drones are car meet style modified beasts with more potential.. its what works with you at the end of the day :)
It's what I use for my cinematic videos, it's a brilliant drone and can even Freestyle quite well.
It combines aspects of both worlds(GPS stabilized vs pure manual) into one unit. It's my favorite drone to fly when I know other people will ask to fly also. I just flip to N and watch on my phone to make sure they're safe :)

I’ve been flying freestyle drones and I will say the Dji fpv has worse handling and less power, but for long cinematic footage it’s really good and looks beautiful the goggles.
I would say that freestyle drones are a bit better in performance but DJI FPV is fun for cinematic shots and is fun to fly, especially with the O3 Air Unit

Honestly the creator of this video is just saying that the DJI FPV drone is a pretty good one. No matter how underpowered it may be, flying it is still fun and it's a still a part of the fleet of quads I use. I mainly use it for cruising and long range flights. Not much freestyling.

It's a brilliant drone to practice on when bridging the gap between camera and freestyle/racing.
I have one. The only negative comments I ever heard were online. When I am out to fly and meet other pilots everyone is just happy to find someone with the same Hobby. We are a small community and outside of the internet we are very welcoming.

I’ve got this drone and even if “underpowered” it’s a great drone and super cool for learning. When I’m flying with family and friends your can let them use it in normal mode with fly grid and you feel relax nothing you can do with a freestyle drone nevertheless it’s never been called Dji freestyle but dji fpv so don’t be silly

It's definitely FPV drone. If they talk about performance, cinewhoop is weaker than DJI FPV, and it's still FPV drone. If the talk about RTH and navigation capabilities, there are people, including me, flying FPV drones using INAV.

So I’m an all around drone pilot. I pilot fpv planes, drones, regular drones, etc. I personally think that the DJI FPV is amazing for travels and for long range cinematic flying. Anything else and it’s useless

I was just tryna mess with you, guess it worked. Fr tho try a real carbon frame freestyle you won’t regret it. A lot cheaper to modify and you’re less scared to send it and crash bc you don’t have to pay a fortune for dji to fix it. Plus the power is not comparable, although dji is more beginner friendly, it can’t match others that’s why you see so many people talking shit about it.

Only a loser would day its not a real FPV drone. Some people have dozens of other hobbies and interests and don't want to make soldering FPV drone components take up all of their free time. There are a million other fun things i want to spend my time doing, including travelling and flying a drone thats easy to get going means i can spend more time doing things i like, and less time doing things i dont. Its a win for me, but anyone who spends thousands of hours tinkering with drones obviously thinks its "cheating" to do more than one thing with your life lol

I agree and don't. It's good for the camera and GPS. But compared to a real FPV freestyle drone. It's a lil more durable. And a GPS can be installed. You can also do more acro related things faster. Such as diving. Dji fpv, broken if you dont pull up soon enough.
