This platform looks like it flies great! I'm surprised you put a full size gopro on it. I have the Pavo25 V2, and I've been super happy with it so far. Came in handy for a commercial shoot today around a winery!
Yes the Pavo 35 3.5inch is made for full sized GoPros. It carries it with ease and was flying for literally 10mins+ flight which was great I found. I typically use them for faster proximity flights (ie mountain bike chasing) or fly throughs where I need more flight time and space isn’t an issue 👌
I just did a job that blessed me with a few Gopro12s. So I guess it is time to build up a Pavo35. I have been absolutely loving my pavo20. So I might as well stick with the form factor. It has just been durable AF so hoping the same out of the 35.
How do you feel about the aftermarket antennas on your goggles 2? I’ve been thinking of getting a pair but not sure if it’s worth the time. Notice better penetration or range at all?
I use the TrueRC patch antennas on my G2s when I’m either flying long range, or doing a fly through where I need more penetration in 1 particular direction (ie. Through a few walls) They’re definitely worth buying if doing any longer range flights and they make a big difference
Yet again another epic performance from You dude you make it look so easy which it definitely is not very well done super professional keep up the great work 😎
Wow what an opportunity to fly at a famous Belfast landmark. The shoppers probably were wondering why there’s a drone flying around lol. Well done Ben 👍
Yes, I tend to ask clients which camera they’d prefer whether it be DJI or GoPro. In this case GoPro was the preferred option 👌 Glad you enjoyed the video
Yeah, it’s actually a public right of way through the centre so you can walk through at any time pretty much. Although the shops are closed outside of business hours of course
First time watcher 😀first time subscriber🔥 I got completely lost when you mentioned all those terms. I’d love to buy my first drone. It’s great that your Local do you have a beginners watch list or can you make one please?
It would depend on the size of drone I used. But more often the issue with this is that people would look at the drone when it flies past and that ruins the shot
So why choose the Pavo vs the Mavic? Looked the like the Mavic picture quality was better… would have been nice to have a side by side. I’m new to drones, so apologies if it’s an obvious answer.
They are 2 very different drones serving different purposes. The role of the Mavic is to get high and wide screens from further aback whereas the Pavo can fly indoors and get really close to objects, and also do manoeuvres the Mavic isn’t capable of. Different tools for different jobs 👍
Always love your BTS videos! But this one was lacking two important pieces of information for me. First one is about your GoPro settings. I guess light was very different inside and outside of the mall. Have you recorded in auto or with fixed shutter and ND and auto ISO? Second question is: how is this legally possible? Flying a fpv quad that is heavier than 250g without C-label inside a city without a spotter and outside of VLOS?
In terms of GoPro settings, I was using auto shutter and an ISO range of 100-400 because I was flying between bright skies and & the darker interior of the centre. In terms of the drone & rules etc, we are in the UK so we have a different rule set to EASA and as such C labels are not required for flight in built up areas, your specific operator license determines where you can operate different sizes of drones. For the start of the day, we used the Pavo as the centre was closed off and there were no people about. When it opened, we switched to the sub250g 2.5” quad as you saw, which is permitted for overflight of people. I had 2 spotters on this shoot too.
@@Jack-Mitchell. The drone rules, depending on what license you have are based around separation distances. As long as you’d adhere to the appropriate separation distances for your specific category drone you can fly them. In our case, we flew the Mavic at 7:30AM on an early Sunday morning when no one was about so the streets were empty and as such we could fly the drone. Just because a drone is above 250g does not mean you cannot fly it in a city, you just need to make sure you can adhere to separation distance requirements.
It depends where you’re flying, if you’re outside the No Fly Zone you don’t need permission from anyone so long as you takeoff on public land. However if you’re inside the NFZ you require the approval of Belfast City Airport

Amazing !!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Unreal mate 😍🔥
Cool channel mate. Gday from down under FPV. 👍🍺🏆
The Pavo35 will be my first copter, yet I only flew in the simulator. Hope it will be a good drone to start with.
Wow amazing Job

Cheers David! It was certainly a great experience. We got really lucky it was such a nice day too weather wise 👌
Great video Ben! Greetings THFilms 🤘🏽
Unreal mate 👊🏻
Cheers Richard 🙌
Great shots. What time of day did you film at?
Cheers! We started filming at around 7:30AM
Wonderful video, in the end you preferred the Gopro to the Action 4, my dream would be to do your job!!! Congratulations indeed 👏👏👏

In this case “the customer is always right”!!! Absolutely yes, amazing video and I hope to see more!!!
Nice work man keep it up 👍
Thanks! Many more videos to come 👌
Some amount of equipment used ... Fare play! ☘
So that whole place is just open the whole time like I don’t see any doors or shutters?

When you were doing your flight of the mall, were you in angle mode?
That was some Epic flights. Well done. What was your GoPro settings to get a good flight from outside to inside?
Where do you go to get any parts/cameras/controllers etc to build your drones?
Where can I buy an ND filter for that case? I can't find it on Aliexpress
My ones for the NamelessRC naked GoPro are custom made
Great content! What is the max payload that this drone can carry?
Not too much tbh. Probably 400g max excluding the battery. Including the battery Id say 1kg
Is horizontal mode better than acro for indoor flight?
Just depends on the situation, I find it can help make certain shots smoother but it’s also much more restrictive compared to acro
Would you be able to do this when the centre is open? Or would that be a no-go with people around?
It would depend on the size of drone I used. But more often the issue with this is that people would look at the drone when it flies past and that ruins the shot
Great is it angle mode?

@@BenToogood thanks for the reply!
dji live feedback from director in goggles , a fly tracking line live drawn in 3d
Do you fly in angle mode for these fly throughs?
Acro mostly and sometimes in Horizon depending on the space

@@BenToogood Great information. Thanks!
How'd you fly the Mavic 3 in Belfast?
How do you mean?
@@BenToogood like I can't fly my DJI fpv here in Belfast as it's over 250g, how can you fly your Mavic which is also over 250g?

how do you get permission to fly in the city ? ... i have a nightmare with people complaining every time i fly :( maybe i need a quite drone lol
