This song came out at just the right time. I lost my nanna like the week before this came out, and my dad 12 yrs before that, the Month after I had my one and only daughter. Pulls on my heart strings. My whole family knows this song, and when all 5 of my kids sing it, it's pure beauty.
I just wanted Andy to know how much that songs has helped my family, thank you.
Since I was a young child my Dad would gently rub the back of my neck or lightly tickle me as he came in to a room while I was working on something. Dad passed away in February 2018 and It’s been really hard because I was very close to both of my parents and now that they’re both gone I have a huge hole in my life and heart. The holidays are the hardest. I was making dinner for my family on Christmas Eve and suddenly I felt someone touch the back of my neck and I automatically reached back to hold his hand as I turned my head. I knew it was Dad letting me know that everything would be ok. Our kitchen is small and I was alone with my back to one counter cutting up ingredients on the island next to the stove so no person in a physical form could have been behind me. I had been pretty sad and depressed after losing both of my parents and both of my husband’s parents and the general state of my once close tight knit family that was being pulled apart. That gentle touch gives me hope and peace that my Dad is ok up in heaven with Mom, our brother Ricky and our grandparents. Scariest thing is that I could have been with them because I have almost died 5 different times over the last 8 years, but God has intervened each time working through the different doctors who have been treating, operating and just apart of the amazing team of highly skilled doctors that entered my life at the right time.

Not too sure I'll be able to watch this music video. I lost my mother 23 years ago when I was 17. I now have a 16 year old son, so this song will hit home hard. I'll want to watch it, eventually. ❤️
I totally get you. I lost mine six days after I turned 8. This month marks 36 years since she passed at 34. My eldest child, only daughter is named after her. They are always with us and mourn for them forever. I look forward to the song at some point too ❤️
