ALL artists want to challenge and exceed those inspirations. It's not an insult, it's a fact and it's okay. I wanted to be another Janis Joplin, so I adopted her style and I dreamed of the day when I would be the one who became famous and people would find me more than acceptable over Janis. It is that way in the music biz.... no harm. As for his own accomplishments, I also am not taking that away from him. He does have an awesome voice.

One must not over strain it to shorten its life-span. I suppose every singer is different. No need to challenge whoever. It is me. It is you. And it is him/her. So be yourself.
