    Hello! First of all thanks for providing such a detailed demonstration of how to use this serum. I appreciate the time you put into it to deliver with this much clarity! ❤
    I have a question about using it during the AM. How can I layer this with my moisturizer? I'm thinking this so far:
    Cleanse (CeraVe cream-to-foam cleanser)
    Toner (peach slices snail mucin - I skip this sometimes)
    BOJ Light on serum (is this the correct place?)
    Moisturizer (CeraVe pm lotion / sometimes I use one with an SPF combined)
    Sunscreen

    Hi is this correct?
    AM
    Cosrx Cleansing
    Cosrx Clarifying Toner
    Madagascar Tone Brightening
    Madagascar Centella Ampoule
    Madagascar Sun Screen
    PM
    Cosrx Cleansing
    Cosrx Clarifying Toner
    Madagascar Tone Brightening
    Madagascar Centella Ampoule
    Cosrx Snail Essence
    Cosrx Snail Cream
    Or I can use Cosrx Snail Essence and Cosrx Snail Cream on AM and PM?

      Hey! 😊 Yes, this could work. However, the essence should usually be used after the toner but before anything else. And yes, you can use it both in the AM and PM

      This depends on your eye contour's tolerance, as the skin there is much thinner compared to the rest of your face. However, it could work, yes.

    Thank you Melissa, I love BOJ, I use their sunscreen and consider it the best of all I've ever used. Could you tell me which form of Vit C is in this serum? Cause I know that Ascorbic Acid has irritated my skin ❤

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately, many people experience sensitivities when using that sunscreen, often described as a slight burning sensation. I am unsure about which particular ingredient is causing it, or if it's just the overall formulation.
      I also actually like the sunscreen a lot, but I rarely include it in the routines because of that issue.
      And as I mentioned at the beginning of the video, the serum contains ethylated ascorbic acid 😉

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet

      Well, it depends on what you have worn throughout the day, or if you have sweat a lot and have an oil buildup, dirt, etc., on your face. In that case, I would highly recommend using a cleanser suitable for your skin type, so that the peel can work effectively.

      @@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I usually use the cosrx salysic acid cleanser, while it does work for me, I was worried using it with the peeling solution would cause problems as it can be a bit drying. Do you think I can use it w the cleanser? otherwise I don't have any other cleanser.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому

      Well, it has a high pH, so it should not cause any issues, and the amount of SA is pretty low. Overall, if it works well for you, I do not see any reason to change it.

    Wow your skin has rlly cleared up from other vids that I’ve seen may I ask did the the acne control cleanser from CeraVe help by any chance as I just ordered it to apply with my skincare routine and I use to have very clear skin but now I I have whiteheads and a little bit of black heads only on my forehead with a bit of scars only located on my forehead so I was wondering with the cleanser that I bought from cerave will help in anyway with that while applying and adding it in my skincare routine as a cleanser and my skin type i would say it’s more on the dry side but not incredibly dry as my skin is naturally smooth and I don’t have oily skin unless I apply oily products in my hair pls let me know .

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому +2

      Well, yes, it has improved, but I'm still battling acne on my forehead, and I'm not entirely sure what triggers it.
      Regarding SA cleansers, I haven't seen great results for my type of acne, which is usually inflamed. The only product that really helps is benzoyl peroxide, which I use as a targeted treatment in cleanser form on specific areas.
      However, I haven't had the opportunity to thoroughly test that specific cleanser for an extended period, as my use hasn't been consistent due to the many demonstrations I conducted when it was first released.
      Overall, SA cleansers are not ideal for dry skin since they can be drying. I would recommend glycolic acid cleansers instead. But if you balance an SA cleanser with another cleanser suited to your skin type, it might work, not sure. For occasional "pimples", a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide at a low concentration of 4-5% would be my suggestion.
      For blackheads, I recommend extraction as they may not go away with these treatments or could take a very long time to clear up if left untreated.

      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому

      @@darcelmendez1754 Yes, it is indeed difficult, but if you are using only these treatments, then maintaining consistency should be easier. For me, it's sometimes hard due to product demos, so I can't really follow the routines for long. Anyway, thank you very much. The overall improvement has been dramatic, but the forehead acne still flares up from time to time, and it baffles me what triggers it.

    Hey Melissa
    I need to ask you a question so when I use my skin routine for starters like I use my cleanser and I follow it with serum when I put it on my skin and gently push it in i put a fan Infront of me to help my skin absorb the product because when I don't use a fan it look it just sit on top of my skin ,I have oily skin and the products I use are made for my skin type , so it good or bad I couldn't really find a clear answer online and if it's bad how can I make my skin absorb the products better, thanks.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому

      Hey! 😊 That method seems a bit odd to me. It doesn't sound like the serum is absorbing when using the fan but rather evaporating or drying on the skin's surface. What's the name of your cleanser and serum, etc? Do you pat off the excess water drops with a towel after cleansing before applying the serum?

      So my cleanser is SuperFacialist skin renew cleansing oil and a antibacterial gel cleanser a local brand and powerless power liquid by cosrx , the serums are the ordinary niac , 2% salicylic acid , alpha arbutin , and have darkspot correcting from axis-y and the glow hub purify and brighten moisture lotion . What I do after cleansing I pat dry and i start from toner till the end after every product I put I use air and hand so it absorbs and use cold and slow air not hot and my skin looks better but when I sleep and wake up my whole face is a bath of I guess oil so I looked up it in Google and it said it might dry of your face and the moisturizer won't absorb so I bought thermal water yesterday and thought I'll use air before every step but not the moisturizer I'll just use a mist before it but I found that if you have a toner in your routine you should not use a thermal water and rn I'm confused I hope I'm clear 😁

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  9 місяців тому +2

      Okay, I suggest getting a good foaming cleanser that's suitable for your oily skin, as I think you are using the wrong cleansers for your skin type, such as Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser (also known as Oily Skin Cleanser), CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, or La Roche-Posay Effaclar Cleanser (blue bottle), The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser or Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser. Once you can properly remove the excess oil from your skin, the serums will also penetrate much better. Additionally, there is no need to double cleanse with the products you're using; you do not need to use an oil cleanser. If you need two cleansers, just use the foaming cleanser twice. Make sure not to use too much of each serum; use between 3-5 drops, no more than that, then wait for the serum to absorb (without using your fan). For your AXIS-Y Glow, use a pea-sized amount, and you likely do not need to use a moisturizer. If you want to add hydration, look into a hyaluronic acid serum or something similar. :)

    • @DontJustLiveDude
      @DontJustLiveDude 9 місяців тому +1

      Hey , so it was not the cleanser actually it was the way I pat my skin , when I put any products I use circular motion to make the skin abosorb it and it always like it's just sitting on the top , so I saw a video earlier on how you should use pat motion on serum so I tried it but with my whole skin care routine for toner till moisturizer and it literary worked wonder my skin absorb it so good I have never seen it like this before and I'm so happy with the result I'll check in the morning if I wake up with super oily skin like before or normal looking but it is so much better , so for any oily skin dude they should use pat method for all the products for 3-5min each and it will definitely work because my skin is super oily seeing it like this I'm speechless, and by the way is there anything I should not use with the axis-y serum or not? Thank you so much , and yes I'll look into getting a foaming cleanser. @@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet

      @@DontJustLiveDude There are different ways to apply your skincare products to the face, and perhaps the neck as well. I prefer the methods demonstrated in the video, but if your method works well for you, continue using it. Just make sure not to use too much of each product. I wouldn't pair that serum with strong Vitamin C products. So, use one in the AM and the other one in the PM.
