AI is very cool and will become much more powerful in the near future, but I appreciate workflow (like the Tailwind inspector) improvements the most.

It really it! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on GPT-4. I tried having the ChatGPT website generate a website brief using both version 3.5 and 4.0 and was amazed at how much more detailed 4.0 was.

It's a new world, that's for sure. AI is going to chip away at the low end and force all of us to step up our games.

too bad it just works with Tailwind

It works fine with any framework or vanilla css. The alpine components are just pre-made with Tailwind, which is ridiculously simple to translate into standard css. In fact, that’s what I did for the tab component I used in the project I recently launched. Alpine itself is about as flexible as it gets.

@@AdamLoweIO Just to confirm my simple html and css can be affected by PG ai assistant?

Oh wow, I’m so sorry! I totally thought you were commenting on a different video.
The AI assistant does work with vanilla css, but it’s not nearly as seamless as with TW. It generates the html for you, then puts the css into the chat window as code that you have to copy and paste into you css file.
I’m actually glad it doesn’t write directly to the css file since I can only imagine the havoc that might cause. At least with the copy/paste code you can do a sanity check or easily revert it. Can you imagine allowing AI to mess with a carefully crafted set of rules? 😧
