90% of what you talk about on your channel is affiliate marketing. Maybe you should change the title of this video to "Wordpress is not the best for affiliate marketers".
More like "Use all this stuff that I'll get a kickback for"
Yup, just what i thought, web hosting companies offer packages to keep your site maintained and secured.
Its up to the customer to get those options.
I am a website developer/designer/coder; and I still love WordPress. I can only see these issues as relevant to people who want to maintain a website without expert experience. I would never go back to building a website 100% from scratch_ too many pages and too much coding. Drag and drop builders use more code than necessary and this causes slower performance. There is no other platform that has every thing you can imagine a website needs. So, yes, if you are not a professional developer and can't afford to pay a professional, I can see why you want to look for something easy is your objective. As developers, learning is a part of our job. So, the learning curve is to be expected. I can't stand looking at poorly coded websites and did not hear any issues that are real problems. I still stand by WordPress. It made our lives easier as web-developers, and there is nothing to compare to it.
What About Webflow ?
Isn't That an "In-Between" Solution ?
@@jambokofficial the thing is, Wordpress is open source, it’s free and the community is much greater than anything out there. Comparing Wordpress to webflow is like comparing an IPhone to some third party Chinese smart phone
@david hacckerman what do WordPress Developers Use?
@david hacckerman what do you mean? ofc if you are a developer you can build your own wordpress plugin rather than buy premium plugin!
@david hacckerman build plugin = free! smart bro
If your web hosting provider doesn't allow you to change PHP version on your own I guess you should move your wordpress site to a better web hosting provider.
But Wordpress is free and the others are not? How about a comparison to equivalent free and open source options.
Webflow is amazing but the monthly cost is to much when your just starting out. It cost the price I’m charging a client for design so I would have to triple my rate and have them set up on monthly charges to pay their price
WordPress is awesome 👌
Ok he's talking to non techies here. If you're a developer and / or programmer and / or front-end (with page builders) and good with it, you won't like the alternatives he's talking about cause they have LOTS of boundaries that WP doesn't have when you add plugins and / or your own code.
And that is the reason why 40% of world loves WordPress. It is extremely customizable. We sometimes don't just one thing and WordPress is great because of that.
Amd how he can be comparing things that are free with paid products?
WordPress has many flaws, but. "After login your username is always admin"?
Where do you get this, what install process, what hosting/script does this please?
Also been using wp for awhile now and I partly agree with you. But I do want better SEO. And would be passing my sites through some of this test. If Wordpress is responsible for 40% of the internet. That’s saying a lot
I hate Wix, all the time you have to put in order the elements, they get disorganized by themselves, Wix is a really high maintainance sitebuilder and in the most bizarre thing.
WordPress is not bad, there are simply bad users
I think it comes down to what is your niche. We need to focus on our core values and competence i.e if you are selling clothes vs been an instructor (coach) vs you are a news blogger or a filmmaker. Because going forward we will need to integrate our eco systems with AI (to create content). Thanks for the info and I will look into them further.
I agree, many sleepless nights auditing my sites, but what about the new block editor for speed? What about the NEW required cookie consent? Does your platform come with that? What about PWA respectfully? Gutenburg?
What platform would you suggest for creating multiple websites?
I can update my PHP version on all my sites no problem. Also, speed tests should be taken with a big pinch of salt. I've tested sites that pass core web vitals with flying colours and they are as slow as fuck, and other sites that are in the orange and are lightning quick. If people use admin as there login name with a shitty password, well then. Also Wix, no thank you.
What you say about Wordpress is definitely right...And the reason you say that people stay with it is exactly why I have stayed with it...because so many people use it...But I am not very technical but I have been forced to deal with things like php problems...and having an update that is incompatible...thus having the whole system crash...and on and on
Totally agree with this, as I'm having the exact same issue today! I'm an editor and content creator and do not have time to deal with WP back end, having been on Wix for sometime, I want to change for the simple reason the sites are slow. Having spent the past 48 hours in WP hell, I'm ready to bail. Thanks so much for this video! Still relevant now as we come to the end of 2021!
you lost me when mentionned shopify dude !!
What about Drupal? Is is better or a good recommendation compared to the 6 other CMS mentioned in this video?
Still WordPress development more innovative day by day with new features & plugins with free, freemium and more comfortable since other..
Any suggestions for paid membership sites for restricted content / annual dues, etc.. thanks 🙏
I do not know much, but instead of wordpress I prefer to load the pages in html and css (when they are static websites), when we talk about blogs or stores I prefer to use php or react before using wordpress. In many cases Wordpress is a headache for my clients than a solution.
wordpress is still great guys
when u start pleasing everyone ends with no one, thanks a lot for tis.
it really painful now for me to use wordpress..
i have sites which are now not working at all..can you please make a video on how to transfer all my data to any other platform from wordpress.
Agree Wordpress is a pain and is heavy. But your list is quite sad.
Instead you could have shown the viewers how to turn a Wordpress into a static site to make it secure and fast. But then there will be no affiliation link’s 😂
I would like to setup Multi Vendor eCommerce, pls advise which tools good to go ?
I used WordPress two years ago and I hated it from the beginning
I’ve read many messages like this over the years 😂
Why did you hate using wordpress? Was it because you weren't good at it? Were you expecting it to hold your hand and have it do everything for you? No offence, I actually haven't used wordpress before or any of the alternatives mentioned in this video, but I am glad I watched this video. You got to provide reasons why wordpress wasn't a good fit for you, lol. SMH.
@@mindaudiovisions because it is fucking expensive not everyone is born in us to be rich.
@@mindaudiovisions the problem is if you wanna rank your site on google there is no better choice than wordpress this shit has aqquired 41 percent of website market on internet. and the plans are so fucking expensive for indians wtf . indians don't earn in dollars or euros
wordpress is so complicated, hei wordpress developer, can you make wordpress just like wix, or like easy other build platform?
already in the works not for wix
Still use Wordpress and I love it. You dont like? Probably you dont know how to use it. Deal with it.
You're right, I'm continuously having to "fix" something in the wordpress dashboard and after needing one plugin after the other my site has become super heavy and slow. On top of this I'd have to pay someone to figure out how to make it faster now. Too many circles and don't enjoy wordpress personally at all anymore and don't have the time or energy to figure out how to maintain it. Where can I find Wizrd?
WP most powefull n FREE
WordPress Core Roadmap : Option to add meta title/description (Q1 2035). Custom feilds (Q3 2060). Multi image field (Q2 2045). Basic Sitemap (Q 4 2055). You can do everything there but very minimal will be done for you (This is the main problem => Just the opposite of tools like Wix or WebFlow). Just thanks to tools like Elementor - Wordpress is still at all competitive (For small/medium sites). **The whole idea that Elementor "bypasses" the horrible WordPress interface (Combine with tools like ACF, Yoast and some more plugins).
what website builder would you suggest for a listing / classified ads website?
I have been struggle with the WordPress since a while and I’m thinking to switch to shopify my e-commerce business but anyone can tell my It’s possible to save my actual domain that I have using in WP to move on the shopify? Is it any yt video how to do that? I will appreciate any help 🙏🏼🙏🏼☺️
I can build a website from code.
3 hours into trying Wordpress, I can't even figure out how to put text on the page.
It has the most mysterious counter-intuitive interfaces I've ever seen.
Webflow is 1.1 million times better than Wordpress in every way.
It's just such a shame it costs so much more.
You lost me @ shopify...
What’s wrong with Shopify? Please give actual reasons
@@oDiProductions $29 a month, thats not including premium apps. I do agree with you on on wordpress updates, and manual doing the work can be annoying. But you save a lot of money with wordpress.

How can you save $ on Wordpress?
Concrete CMS = Perfect!
Thank you for the recommendations. Recently switched my hosting and it's a pain to switch the site info. So haven't done anything and my site is down not collecting any traffic/data or sales. With this info I can build back better: Thank you!
No doubt, WordPress sites take a lot of time to maintain.
Either the core product is open source and free or it doesn't exist.
I have a website that was built in WIX years ago - but they want 220 USD per year to maintain a website that does not change - Any suggestions please. PS I downloaded the Wordpress zip file and was horrified at is impenetrable collection of PHP and instructions
Hey Odi! After your last video I wanted to ask you if Not WordPress, What would be the other alternative?? Thanks for sharing.
I’m a paid customer of most of the alternatives in this video and completely switch to them within the next couple weeks
@@oDiProductions I’m currently using Shopify for my e-commerce business. I will definitely check your platform and start with it.
@@snehanjaliD Shopify is amazing for ecommerce, that’s what I’ve been using and switched from Woocommerce a while ago.
@@oDiProductions I agree. I’ve not faced any issue with Shopify so far🤞🏻
what about tech seo issues on shopify such as duplicate content, internal linking to non-canonical pages?
Wordpress as grown and its great if I am not building from scratch then its WP
Hey Odi, thank you for sharing such a good info. Since the issue with the core vitals been pushed I struggle to make my WP websites faster. All 3 are failing on most of the vitals. I even upgraded my server and smashed all the images… nothing really helped to get a decent score on lighthouse metrics. Have no problem at all to move to other platform ( wizard for example). The question is: I have many blog posts and value on my websites… can I move my work website to another platform without rewriting all my posts?
Yes many have faced the same issue include myself. Although it IS possible to get decent scores with WP, it will require a LOT of optimizing, configuring plugins, purchasing additional premium plugins/services like CDN. Even then, I still haven’t seen faster load times than Wizrd out of the box.
With that said, you should be able to use the built-in Wordpress “Export” feature. We are currently working on our Wordpress import feature as we speak, and all you would have to do is upload that XML file to import all your posts 😄 You can sign up for a free trial to be added to the email list, where we’ll notify you when it’s ready (next 1-2 weeks hopefully)
Thank you, I thought it was me!
What's the best platform for a review website with star ratings please?
Thanks for your opinion. I've been struggling with WP for a few years, even if trying to use Divi, even if a photographer in the past, tired of tech stuff and constant learning... I do videoediting for my vlogs and like it, yet codes and lots of text info is not my thing. So I still don't know how to backup WP properly, and it takes forever to rebuild the websites on WP... Now incompatibility issues php updates vs plugins have started to pop up and I realized is that my websites were down often. I used to use Weebly and it definitely has a lot of cons and limitations yet for non-e-commerce websites it was helpful until they stopped showing websites to Russia and Ukraine in 2018.
Re blogs - as someone looking for an alternative to WP the issue is that you can't be sure for how long those competitors (offering alternative platforms) will stay on the market. blogs are long-term projects and you can invest thousands of hours into a blog and then realize that you are losing your likes, comments, audience etc for one reason or another (dependent on the platform itself).
On another note, many people in Eastern Europe and ex-USSR countries are using Tilda, have you tried it? not sure if it has interface in English. I almost switched to it but it is still another subscription (pricey) and also a learning curve. not clear as well what might happen in terms of access to the platform with all those crazy world events. However many Russian and Ukrainian people swear by it. using it for landing websites especially. Not for blogs probably.
What platform would you recommend for creating a plaftorm similar as glassdoor, for joobseeking?
thanks in advance
Good job thanks in advance.
Thanks for making this!
Im looking to build a site for a high end art gallery, Im looking at building in Elemetor. I wonder if Square Space would be an alternative.

@@oDiProductions would you please explain why not weebly?
