According to the search results, the rollout of ChatGPT-4o with text and image capabilities began on May 13, 2024 for both free users and ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The new model is now the default in ChatGPT, and can be accessed by logging in through a web browser and checking the drop-down menu in the top left-hand corner.
However, the rollout of GPT-4o to the iOS and Android mobile apps, as well as the new macOS desktop app, is still ongoing. The macOS app is currently being rolled out to Plus subscribers and will become more widely available in the coming weeks. A Windows desktop app is planned for later in 2024.
