- The settings for this colourisation have come out particularly well I think. Only a mild Lighting Adjustment was added in PowerDirector, to lift the shadows a little, then a lower setting in Deoldify was used: 24.
"The crew investigates reports of a fish on Venus that is developing human characteristics and attacking fishermen."

This from Wiki:
Space Patrol is a British science-fiction television series featuring marionettes that was produced in 1962 and broadcast beginning in 1963. It was written and produced by Roberta Leigh in association with the Associated British Corporation.
Terrific programme and, thankfully, it lives again.
They never seem to get there leave when they want it, it's always cancelled!!!! Brilliant video's thank you.
Thank you Peter. Glad you are enjoying them. Iain
😂 So true, Peter. Usually they make out by getting extra time off on the times that it got cancelled. This is the first time that I am watching a full series of marionettes. All thanks to Iain's hard work. Now I am hooked. 🛸
I suspect Gene Roddenberry, creator of the original Star Trek TV show, must've watched this series beforehand. Nice color revamp btw.
Thanks. Good point, it seems others feel the same way too! Here's someone commenting on IMDB:
"I've just started watching the television series Space Patrol (known as Planet Patrol in the US), a wonderful kids program created by a protégé of Gerry Anderson from the early sixties that also used marionettes. What really strikes me about this all but forgotten program is how influential it seems to have been on later sci-fi. From the very first episode you can see how Gene Roddenberry must have been heavily influenced by Space Patrol. The aggressive and masculine Martians with their high foreheads are certainly forerunners of the Klingons while the elfin and logical Venusians must have been inspirational in the creation of the Vulcans. Even some aesthetics like room dividers are very similar to those on the Enterprise. The main plot revolves around a close knit trio of friends and their adventures visiting various planets. While obviously Roddenberry had more inspiration than this kid's show, in some ways Star Trek feels like a grown up version of Space Patrol."

GREAT work! I have been steadily watching the whole series! "And on Venus, there is no such thing as a dumb blonde." Lucky Venus, lolol. They certainly had no qualms about stopping evolution.
Great Thank you.😍
I was rooting for the Toola's.
Wow, Darwinfish, way back then. Cool!
Switch on the Yobba Rays!
So this is where the Beatles got the idea for Dr. Roberts!
One thing has puzzled me.... Why does Galasphere 347 sometimes become Galasphere 024 on the same mission....❤🪐❤
Because of the low budget they often re-used some sequences in different episodes of the show. Thus according to the Wikipedia article: "The references to Galasphere 024 are, for the most part, continuity errors introduced by the continual re-use of stock footage from the pilot episode, "The Swamps of Jupiter". Although the Galasphere is referred to as 024 during the takeoff programme sequence, it is often later referred to as 347 in the same episode".
