How is it when I fire auto cannons repeatedly I get violent recoil which make it damn near I possible to aim, and yet you can fire repeatedly and keep them on target????
@ I’m not sure what’s going on here! Two quick shots and the next one goes about 30 feet above the enemy’s head! I have no idea how TTB gets three quick shots in the same place!
This video perfectly shows the main problem of transferring the rules of a tabletop game into the reality of a shooter, given that the weapon shoots at a point, and the range only affects how much damage the weapon does =(
They needed to make target acquisition by a computer, and automatic aiming of guns; the player’s task would be to maneuver and choose the moment of the shot and what exactly to shoot, as in theory it should happen in the realities of the universe. and depending on the parameters during the shot, such as the speed of the player, the displacement of the target relative to the sight, range, accuracy of the gun (maybe the pilot’s skill for leveling up) the gun would hit or not =)
@@leonidnikityuk9460 I agree it is a flawed rule set, since it is already full of compromises from the TTRPG limitations. I'm not so sure about the doubling down approach of making it even more TTRPG like, instead of trying to make it more realistic though. Perhaps that might be an idea for a extra difficulty setting though?
Those ERSL are so good, but remove the UAC5s and switch to MPL and to make the weight max out with some ERLL, no ammo issues ever and no smoke ;P My Mia-slot will probably not use Ballistics ever in this second playtrough xD ...and yeah, a Lance, nono ;P
@andrewx8888 Perfectly fine by me, I just cannot live with this high chance of jamming. In MWO and MW5 it's fine. Its personal ;) Rather 155 heat, dead target and repositioning than facing someone with just 8 ERSL in the last missions ^_^
I was trying a build like this early on but couldn't get the tonnage right. I must have been using medium lasers.
"Exterminate that enemy"
PROCEEDS TO ERASE THEM FROM EXISTING
I cannot find the A/C-5 solid anywhere.
You need to unlock it in the science tab. It should be near the bottom of the list
@@depthcharge126 Thank you Brother!!
I run a similar build but with 6xUAC5 and four small lasers. I don't run as much armor just cause it kills like instantly.

I think solid slug gives less recoil
@ I’m using this build with the solid slug AC’s! The recoil is immense!
Might be turning off camera shake that helps
@greatbadger4396 yeah, you are right. Just ran it myself. Weird thing was it was also inconsistent. Sometimes recoil wasn't as bad.

I tried this for the last mission but with 6 uac5s and a lot less ammo. I think I prefer this one,

You’d overheat too much, no point.
