I went to Palcoyo in March 2022 and it was absolutely incredible. The red River was flowing almost out of its banks and was an incredible redish pink color, there was fresh snow on the ground at the mountain so we couldnt really see the colors as much, but the view was beyond incredible, I made it to the first lookout before a sudden snow storm chased us off the mountain. THis is a relatively new discovery even for locals, so even the locals were ejoying the views, Llamas and Alpaccas were everywhere and there were only a couple cars including our mini-bus that were there so it was very quiet. I highly reccomend it, if you're cold, you can always go to the Amazon next and warm up. HAHA!

The llama scene is amazing! I didn’t know there are 3 even though I went 😅. This rainbow mountain is very easy to walk and not many people. The altitude is not bad, just difficult to breath.
