Now that I watched it with y'all, it's safe to say that Jamie was the villain of the movie. None of this would've happened if he was just as persistent with Darby.

Gotta disagree. That would imply that Clyde was the hero. The simple truth was that by the end he was just on a killing spree.... If you were still rooting for him at that point (Killing scores of innocents in protest of our imperfect legal system) I would suggest you have some soul-searching to do...

    • @MrHellweasel

      @@Finians_Mancave There's imperfect and then there's corrupt.

@@MrHellweasel And anyone can spin either however they want. There are people who would characterize Timothy McVeigh as imperfect, and the system that put him away as corrupt (I'm not one of them). I'll say it again. Once you justify killing innocents in the name of some cause, you have lost the plot.

    • @williamdean4775
      @williamdean4775 8 місяців тому

He didn't kill scores of innocents... Everyone he killed was connected to the case.. the Attorneys.. The Judge.. The home invaders.. no one not connected didn't get killed until Jaime Fox didn't listen. Anyone who was a bystander was a casualty of war.

I love revenge stories! And this is one of my FAVORITES!
Only the ending was a disappointment.
I agree. He isn't the "villain". He's the "antagonist".
    And was amazingly performed.

21:27 He calls it bullshit legal precedence like its a bad thing and in this movie its portrayed as such but without them the state can hold us indefinitely on any trumped up charge. So we have to take the good with the bad so yea sometimes bad people get let go on bail who never return but most of the time even the bad people have to face the court.

If you liked this one, then I would like request a reaction video to Cape Fear from 1991, which has a similar plot involving a lawyer and a verdict, an obstruction of justice on the lawyer's part, and the revenge on the lawyer for his decision. It's actually a remake of a movie from the early 60's of the same title, and a wild ride in the third act.

I know everyone is saying this is a movie where the "good guy should've won" with Clyde beating Nick, but i personally think this movie would've worked better as a film about how a VILLIAN actually wins which is rare to see.
Clyde isnt a hero by any means, but he also isnt wrong for how Nick's Stubbornness is what leads to the deaths of all these people.
the faults of Nick and i.E the justice System were in how they wanted a "perfect record of wins" and the image of a perfect infallible justice System.
But those "record wins" might include making deals with Murderers/criminals and the people who destroy our lives everyday without us knowing rather than even attempting to fight for true Justice as Clyde says.
"You didnt even try. You could've walked out of that Courtroom with Your Head Held High. I couldve lived with that."

Is it possible for you to do both Independence Day movies? The first one had a high level of anticipation, being released a day earlier than planned (July 2 actual release (first day of movie events), July 3 planned release), and was considered a significant turning point in the history of the Hollywood blockbuster, and was at the forefront of the large scale disaster film and sci-fi resurgence of the mid-late 1990s. The second movie wasn’t as well received, with not as many positive reviews (mainly negative compared to the first film’s mixed reviews). And another thing: on the DVD for the first film, there are two versions: the original version, which saw nine minutes of scenes removed, reducing the runtime to 145 minutes, while watching the Special Edition (extended version) is 153 minutes. Would you be willing to do both versions of the first movie?

It's supposed to show how a good guy can change when taken by revenge. He starts off with good intentions, but his intentions are changed to bad or evil ones because it's been 10 of him being consumed by anger and revenge. In short, he's not a good guy at the end of the movie.

First I want to say Im not going to say if Im for or against this because everyone has different opinions on it.
This is why I love this movie because its points out the hypocrisy and flaws of the legal system. Because it has two different names for someone getting pushed for their actions an two different names when someone is killed. To keep it simple I will say group A for people that don't have the legal system on their side. Then group B for people that do have the legal system on their side. That way no group or person is named in particular because that stuff doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how something is vowed an what its called. I will also call the person C because it doesn't matter for the same reason.
Now if C does something to someone. Then if group A dose something to punish C thats called revenge. Because they don't have the governments permission to do it an its a crime. Now if group B does something to punish C it's perfectly fine an acceptable an its called Justice an legal. Because they have permission from the government to do it so its not a crime. The same action C gets pushed for their actions but that punishment has two different names. Even though its the exact same action that happens to C but A its called revenge an they are criminalized for it. But when B does the same thing its called Justice and it is legally acceptable. Because the government says its okay that shows that its massed up an stupid right there. Because the same action has to different names an one of them against the law but the other isn't even though its the same exact action. Like for example if C is locked behind bars in a cage. If A dose it for the reasons above its called a crime. But if B does it its not a crime for the reason above it makes zero sense if you think about it. Because its the same exact thing but its done by a different group.
Now let's take the word an action of murder. If C is killed by A its just strange up murder. Then A are looked for by the legal system for murder an changed with murder. Now if B does the same thing its called a legal execution. In wich non of the people involved are charged with anything.
Like for example the person that gets killed by lethal injection in this movie. If A did it they would be criminals an charged for murder. But since B did it no Charges or nothing because the law says its legal. Once again the same action but two different names an outcomes for the person doing it. That makes zero sense because its literally and figuratively the same thing. But just because its done by a different group its seen an treated completely different.
Thats why I love this movie because it points this out. That revenge is the exact same thing as Justice because it's. Someone facings consequences for their actions. But according to the law its two completely separate things when its not. Its the same exact thing then the words an action muder an legal execution. Two words that mean the same thing basically that is taking someones life.
For more context on the murder/ legal execution thing. I will spare you the details because there not important. But keeping with the group A an group B thing. In the video game series and lore an universe of the Elder Scrolls games you have two groups of associations group A are called criminals an murders. Because they don't have legal permission to kill people. Like group A in the examples above. Group B has legal permission to murder people but since they have legal permission to do it. They are not criminals or murders like group B in the examples above. Even though they kill people for the exact same reasons just because someone wants them dead. This is a example that is similar to the real life examples above. Because it shows that two different groups can do the same things. But it somehow gets a different name an meaning if one group does it without legal permission its a crime. But one group does it with legal permission an its called something else an its not a crime because. The law says its okay when they do it. I had to add that stuff from the Elder Scrolls Lore an games because. For this reason in some of the games even characters call it out. They say group B are nothing but murders but they only get away with it because the law says so. But they are the exact same as group A. Wich is similar to groups A an B in the real life examples above. Group B can do it because the law says they can but group A are criminalized.

Thats why I used the fictional groups from the Elder Scrolls Univers. Because it talks about it in a neutral manner that doesn't name any actual real government or agency's. It just talks about the act itself along with how it only has a different name. Along with different consequences for those involved. Because one group has the okay from the ruling bodys. Wich is also putting it in a neutral manner because it doesn't give any real names.
My examples also show how easy systems like the legal systems or groups can be. Corrupted by individuals only thinking of themselves and what they want. Like in the movie the one lawyer made a deal with the killer. For a easy win to help him go up in his job so he was making deals just to help himself. When he should of been working for actual justice an trying to punish the criminals.
Wich is similar to my examples from the Elder Scrolls Univers with the assassins. When I was talking about murder because group B was formed by the same enitiy from another realm. That group A was but group B became corrupted from its original perpus. When they started to work for another perpus that of working for the ruling bodys an performing legal executions. That where not hidden they also made themselves tied to only one group of people. Thats when they where corrupted because they whore supposed to be like group A all along. Taking contracts from anyone regardless of who they are then killing. The people that they wanted dead from the shadows basically murder for murder shake only. But group B turned their backs on that for their own personal reasons like for example. Legal protection from any government or ruling bodys that way they could kill an not face any consequences. So basically that pissed of their other realmly creater so they made group A to replace them. Then as a result group A is actually the better assassins they stay true to their original purpose. So they live in the shadows an kill people for anyone.
This also shows how hypocritical the legal system or any system or group can be. When they say they are working for this one perpus but then put their own. Selfs first an do things only to help themselves out. It completely defeats their perpus like if you say you're working to punish criminals but your. Making deals with them an letting them go then your not working to punish criminals because you're making deals an letting them go. Then if you job is to kill just for the sake of killing people that others want dead. But then you side with the ruling bodys an the law you're now killing for the legal system. Wich is not killing people only for the sake of killing people that others want dead.
So this movie also shows how individuals can take anything. Regardless of what it is an corrupted for personal gain but still think that. They are better then any one else because in this movie the legal system an the people in it though. That even after making the deal that let a murder walk free. That they were better then the father of the dead child an his dead wife. Then with the Elder Scrolls Univers groups group B thinks they are better than group A. Because group B has the ruling bodys on their side. Even though group A is actually to best assassins.

If Michael Myers spirit possessed Gerard Butler character Clyde in Law Abiding Citizen he would break out and starts a killing frenzy list on criminals corrupt cops judges lawyers mayor left & right and doing jigsaw puzzles and riddles from matt reeves batman movie and straight up full horror movie villain mode with no mercy and sympathy for criminals and horrible human beings who did horrible things to innocent civilians and nick would have to call swat team fbi and fire squad to stop clyde from committing mass murder but nope he ain't stopping until he completed his mission and surrender at the end of the movie with smile creepily and ominous eerie menacing creepy music in the background theme call Wrath Of Clyde and end credits shows Nick losing the case and two criminals who killed Clyde wife & daughter are found dead by local bystanders and news spreading about clyde killing criminals and corrupt cops judges lawyers mayor and becomes a dangerous violent psychopathic sociopathic nihilistic murderous inhuman villain like clyde himself
Tbh the movie would be a horror movie route of Clyde went on an mass murder massacre to killing criminals and horrible human beings then Nick found out about Clyde making a scary video of him killing a creep who stalk female humans and innocent people and left him to die and speaks in sinister tone: i will not stop killing and I'm hunting down criminals and scum humans beings left & right nick you are right my friend and call everybody on the phone because I'm coming to find you where u live see you soon buddy (cackling like carnage) and hmm clyde would become like cletus kasady meets victor zsasz 😬😬😬👀👀👀👀
