what makes this really crazy to me is that Amanda was the one uneducated or desensitized on how to act in areas or countries you do not know and shows that Kim did take some of the things her dad probably taught her to heart, yet was put in this situation anyways. Kim continuously told her "you do not know him" and calling her name when Amanda gave too much information, yet as a teen she did not want to go against her cool, older friend. It's a brutal but beautiful movie. It takes you past the BS and gets you right into the darkness. And though he's doing amazingly heroic things, he also encounters situations where he is truly over matched and can't achieve the ideal outcome, which is painfully realistic. As for the series, while I don't think it hurts to watch the sequels, it's the first movie that deserves the praise. BTW, the actress who played the wife does a great job of making you hate her, like Umbridge in the Harry Potter movies. She also plays a lead role in the X-Men.
You weren`t wrong about the mom in the movie, every time she opened her mouth, something stupid came out of it. Had she been with her daughter at the beach she would have pushed her to go swimming with great white sharks just so that she could experience what it was like. And if her daughter gets bitten in half by one of them, "Oh well, life isn`t perfect at least we gave her some space so she could have experiences". Great reasoning.
Liam Niessen is like John Wick on steroids but in the real world not a shoot'em up over the top imaginary movie . Liam Niessen is so freakin bad-ass in this , cool movie !
I really like how you do a good job of parsing all the layers of the movie and the perspectives of all the characters and society. There's very little of that on youtube. About the movie - there is a huge lack of movies like this now, although even in 2008 there weren't very much, which is sad as the world is becoming more and more disconnected. Greetings from Russia
The thing I loved about this film was that it just went balls to the wall kicking ass. They all deserved it, they all got wrecked - it was just a no-holds-barred spree of destruction through the bowels of a seedy underworld of exploitation and cruelty that invokes that primal rage in men and women. We all like to think if the worst happened we'd behave like Neeson, and you just love to see that street-justice clean-up take place.
There’s a very interesting movie about the underworld of Hollywood. It’s called “Eyes Wide Shut” and the reason why it’s so interesting is that Stanley Kubrick (the director) died 6 days after showing the Final Cut to Warner Bros.
I know you may have thought it was just a funny thing to say about gun fu, but there is a Christian Bale movie that actually uses it called Equilibrium, please check it out sometime.
You guys are doing amazing job my first movie with you guys I am really enjoying your reaction commentary discussion especially on this movie I have never seen anything like this i'm a big fan of you two now keep it up ❤️👍
I haven’t seen any of the sequels but I always found it ironic how he’ll do anything to protect his daughter, his daughter wants to be a singer, he ends up being hired to protect a singer, someone tries to attack the singer, the singer tells him that his daughter shouldn’t want to be a singer, then at the end of the movie, he introduces his daughter to the singer… Holy crap my grammar is terrible. 😅
Don’t get me wrong, the ex-wife is absolutely awful in this movie but it seems like she had to deal with him constantly choosing work over his family and forcing her to kind of be like a single parent until she eventually leaves him. We don’t know when he moves there to be closer/spend more time with his daughter, so it could be recent. So she’s naturally very protective of her daughter because she doesn’t want him to her hurt like she felt. Granted, keeping very important information from her father and just nitpicking and nagging when it’s clear he’s making a heartfelt attempt to be a better father isn’t helpful and kind of shitty. If you’re still wanting to use Batman Begins as a springboard, I would also recommend The Prestige. A superb movie directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Michael Caine.

The first role I ever saw Liam Neeson in was _The Bounty (1984),_ one of the mutinous crew, then the starring role in _Rob Roy (1995)._ Both would be excellent movies for your review.
The government would have destroyed this organisation years ago, they have the influence, power and authority to do so. But some how these organisation still exist why because they benefit from it. I noticed the same thing about the daughter. She struck me as a 30 year old trying to play a teen but she's forgotten the difference between someone 17 vs 14. 17 year olds are too cool and lazy to run for no reason..
And the owner of the yacht bought 3 of the auctioned girls! I assume they were freed too. They were most likely grateful as well, but they never showed that storyline. And I am sure if the yacht would have gone back to where it came from it most likely would have been in the Mid-East where females have NO rights and are all assigned male Guardians their whole life who make all their decisions for them. I actually had a connection with a Man from the Mid-East who invited me there and I decided it would probably be too risky to go. I found out a woman can't even board a plane to leave there without the permission of her Male Guardian, which probably would have been him. I would probably be stuck there for the rest of my life and had to give him all my money.
I admit, I also hated his ex-wife a lot. She was being both harsh and overprotective. However, I still didn't forget that's still her Mom, and maybe he did something (like maybe he chose work over his family I guess). Also, things with his ex-wife sort of change a little in both 2 and 3 (thank goodness). But, I do recommend checking out both parts 2 and 3.
Love the reaction and this movie is great .. but just to say, that with a normal amount of care and attention and awareness, Paris is perfectly safe to visit and enjoy, the same as the vast majority of European cities.
When Sheera told Brian that his daughter should pick another career, it was because Sheera knows the ins and outs of the life she lives: being a pop star can be stressful, a lot of traveling when your on tour for months at a time, never stay in one place too long, a lot of people in your entourage making constatn demands of your attention and you hardly ever get a moment to yourself, screaming fans, CRAZY fans (like the one that came at her with the knife) ... so in that instant, her telling Brian that she should pickm another career wasnt about the competition, it was basically becayuse she knew being an idol is not all its cracked up to be beyond the glamor of it all - being famous has its downside, and it can be rough. Its not for everybody, and that's what she meant. I imagine she had amoment offscreen after the attack that Brina saverd her from where she thought "He saved my life, I gotta give him something" - so she set al that up as a form of gratitude, which makes her a realy nice person, in the end. Also Kimmy got to meet her eventually, so that's also awesome. Her dad made his daughters dream come true. I kind of imagine Sheera and Kim can bond over Bryan saving both their lives....and maybe trauma bond as well. Too bad about Amanda, though. Woulda been nice if Bryan had saved, her too, even though she was probably the most naive character in the movie besudes the mother, lol
My dad abandoned me when I was 3 and when I went to Paris my mom said “don’t get Taken cuz you don’t have a dad” 😂 but yea Paris was the scariest place I’ve been and we got robbed on the metro! We also had men follow us while we walked to our hotel it was really scary
20th Century Fox produced two child trafficing movies a long time ago..."Taken" and "Sound of Freedom", one was a blockbuster in 2008 and the 2nd never got released (until July 4th 2023 that is)
Yes you were reading way too much into it you make it sound like she was half-naked she had a full-on robe that covers everything nothing was showing how is that lead you to something sexual
Great reaction as usual. The full body eye roll you both do whenever Famke Janssen appears was hilarious. If you liked Maggie Grace's acting you should check out Lockout (2012). Her and Guy Pearce make a really good team.
Liam, dude way you gotta be so savage. ------ You shoot the man's wife, then threaten to make his kids orphans before their dinner gets cold. ------- Come on Liam, this is next level.
Sadly, Paris is way more dangerous now than how we picture it being the City of Love from the movies. Especially to naïve foreigners. The daughter acting like a 14 year old was a common criticism back when this came out. The actress was in her 20s playing a 17 year old and she over-corrected in the acting.
Yeah, I hated the mom as well. In fact I almost wanted him NOT to find the daughter... just to driver a dagger deeper into her ice cold heart. Anyway great reaction.

January 1, 1983 January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet. so in 2008 when this movie was made yes the internet was around but wasn't as popular as it is now,in 1983 I was just out of school and the internet was not in every home as it is now,the first iPhone wasn't invented till 2007 so the internet has played a big part in how we perceive the way we live
That was 15 years ago, back then America was still different (though already degenerating). And the new movie is based on true events, it's doubly resonant.
Main stream is entertainment . I believe that sound of freedom has to do more with politics. A political system that wants to overthrow the American Democracy. That's the reason many are so against it.

20th Century Fox produced two child trafficing movies a long time ago..."Taken" and "Sound of Freedom", one was a blockbuster in 2008 and the 2nd never got released (until July 4th 2023 that is)
Love taken 1 2 3 4 all great movies 🎥 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
41:41 have you seen Wilson Fisk do that on purpose multiple times?
Yes you were reading way too much into it you make it sound like she was half-naked she had a full-on robe that covers everything nothing was showing how is that lead you to something sexual
51 here! What are you trying to say?!?!?!
"You already do that in traffic." Well, she IS from Jersey.
Now you need to see The Sound of Freedom. Great new movie that just came out that's very similar to this one.
@@aj897 Yes. Similar concept but based on a true story and a slightly harder topic than Taken.
Great reaction as usual. The full body eye roll you both do whenever Famke Janssen appears was hilarious. If you liked Maggie Grace's acting you should check out Lockout (2012). Her and Guy Pearce make a really good team.
15:12 people would think this is unrealistic but no some women are like that
Liam, dude way you gotta be so savage. ------ You shoot the man's wife, then threaten to make his kids orphans before their dinner gets cold. ------- Come on Liam, this is next level.
Big respect from albania 😂❤️
Sadly, Paris is way more dangerous now than how we picture it being the City of Love from the movies. Especially to naïve foreigners.
The daughter acting like a 14 year old was a common criticism back when this came out. The actress was in her 20s playing a 17 year old and she over-corrected in the acting.
great movie
Yeah, I hated the mom as well. In fact I almost wanted him NOT to find the daughter... just to driver a dagger deeper into her ice cold heart. Anyway great reaction.
Consider changing the setup so she doesn’t have to look back at you when she’s talking.
"Maybe they wont take her" lol the movie is called "Taken"
WTF?! I thought I heard wrong, but I replayed 50:29 and 50:40, and the word TRAFFICKING is censored like it's profanity; except, I heard actual profanity...but TRAFFICKING is censored?! By censoring the word TRAFFICKING and trying to stifle discussion about it, UA-cam IS COMPLICIT IN THIS EVIL AND MUST BE DESTROYED.
Movie suggestions Falling Down Michael Douglas / The Omen Gregory Peck / 10 Cloverfield Lane John Goodman
The girl that got shot? She could've made the choice to sell her body. There r no innocents in this mad world.
@14:17 Signing anything under false pretenses automatically nullifies what was signed.
First reaction is saw of you guys. I really enjoyed to wach this movie with you again. You both are vèry sympathic, and bro were did you find such a beautiful and nice girlfriend?
I subscribed of course and will accompany you on your journey 😊.. best wishes from Vienna, Austria.
He bought her on an auction 🤣🤣
Please waiting for you react to taken 2 soon ❤
Now go Liam Neeson to Star Wars... Qui gon Jin
You'd love a film titled " Public Enemies " It's a true story about a 1930s gangster played by Johnny Depp.
I’m sure you didn’t think that was an iPhone. Maybe you meant cell phone.
Best ending! Real bad mofos don't play! Nice reaction, guys! Try Tombstone
Your video has a longer run time than the actual movie.
Um, why is the guy taking notes, is this going to be an official published review for an online website?
Yep, gotta make sure every plot twist is properly documented for my future bestseller 😏📓
I wish I could comment. But, unfortunately my opinions are outside of the community guidelines.
Guys Liam neissen was not ras al goul he played “DUCARD” KEN WATANABE PLAYED RA’s al goul
My biggest question with this story is how can Brian go to another country and kill around 30 people and then be allowed to get back on an airplane and leave the country without an inquiry. Movie magic, I guess.
Because he brought down an international child/human trafficking organization?
2008 film it's old school? Fuck i'm feel so old.
Awe don’t cut your hair, it’s beautiful. Love your reactions. So sad this really happens. There are sophisticated teams that specialize in abducting women and children. So sad
January 1, 1983
January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet. so in 2008 when this movie was made yes the internet was around but wasn't as popular as it is now,in 1983 I was just out of school and the internet was not in every home as it is now,the first iPhone wasn't invented till 2007 so the internet has played a big part in how we perceive the way we live
The average person wasn't using the internet as we know it until the mid-1990s.
You know what's crazy... A 2007 first-generation iPhone sold for $63,356 at LCG Auctions in February 2023, exceeding expectations of around $50,000.
Try "Training Day ".
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!....the epstein comment was on taget.......
The woman reaction in this video is so attractive
How can Hollywood and the mainstream media be ok with this movie but against the sound of freedom?
That was 15 years ago, back then America was still different (though already degenerating). And the new movie is based on true events, it's doubly resonant.
Main stream is entertainment . I believe that sound of freedom has to do more with politics. A political system that wants to overthrow the American Democracy. That's the reason many are so against it.
32:14 John Wick right here dude😂😂
Try " Natural Born Killers ".
Who actually watched a 2 hour reaction channel just watch the damn movie
Ik always talk way to damn long
