54:30 How to order a Janus Motorcycle
Visited the factory two years back and was nothing but impressed with the whole operation. Richard and Devin are first class individuals and have truly built an amazing company. Covid and a job change has put my purchase of one of these great bikes down the road a bit but I will own one of these someday. Keep up the great work guys! Huge fan here!
shaft drive bigger gas tank
I wish I didn't watch this video and all the others on youtube. I WAS thinking of buying a small used ski boat. That's the most beautiful bike I've seen in a long time. Small but class and style for a elderly kid like me.
Proud owner of #197. Love to rip around on that bike.
I truly can't wait until I can afford one of these! Thankfully they seem to be pretty well priced for the quality of the bike. What a functional piece of art!
Halcyon is extremely fun to ride!
The build process is fun and exciting! It's been perfect for my needs!
I love the fact that the 229cc is a pushrod engine. They are very T. E. Lawrence, I like it.
Best motorcycle overview I’ve ever seen.
Thank you!
Quite an in-depth look at the different models. Very unique style.
I think small CC motorcycles are going to be a very popular in the next 10yrs in the USA. I would love to see a twin cylinder 500 up to maybe a 650 by Janus .
I am just in love with the Halcyon. I'm just going to have to get one.
The Gryffin is my dream bike. Saving up for one!
That military Halcyon is on the top of my list👍😎
I think that's their #1 color
Beautiful motorcycles!
Uma das motos clássicas mais bonitas que já vi no youtube. Amo este estilo de motos e o design da Janus é muito legal com estas cores. Parabéns pelas motos e longa vida à fábrica.
Very useful video. Thank-you.
This gentleman comes across quite honest.
It looks like you've got a great product.
I hope you hang in there until the economy picks up again.
I can't wait to get up there and test drive one and hopefully order one soon.
I LOVE the Halcyon! However, I’m waiting to see if you guys source an engine from elsewhere. I will pay extra to not fund that regime in the process of buying a beautiful American bike. Godspeed...
Beautiful, good luck to you and your company, I live in WI and will make a road trip down to Goshen this summer as Covid allows. Looking to buy in a year or so.
I second that from Arkansas.
I love it!
4-6 weeks and mine will be ready! My Royal Enfield (Electra X) has been sold to make room….
Aside from sidecar bikes, the leading link front suspension is also still used by Rokon, a manufacturer of two wheel drive off road utility motorcycles, and the second oldest continuously operational motorcycle company in the US.
I love what you guys are doing. Small company providing a beautiful and reliable bike. Made I'm the USA! I will look forward to owning one when the time is right. I am also curious as to how they accommodate taller riders.
My favorite janus is the halcyon but I love me a honda trail 90 or 250 rebel
First saw you guys on Jay Leno’s Garage... I really and truly respect what you guys have done and where you are heading. I look forward to ordering my first Janus soon! I can only imagine the sheer daunting task of opening up this business! Again, total props to both of you and your team! My only issue with Janus, is your engine. I am wondering, if available, or a possibility you can locate an approximately two-hundred fifty cc, totally American made engine. It is my humble (ok, pretty much worthless) opinion, that finding a completely American made engine would put you over the top! Even if it means adding a buck or two, if you know what I mean. Just a suggestion and a question? I would love a one-hundred percent American motorcycle, from frame, to motor to electronics, with not a single piece of plastic or foreign to be found, period! Even Harley can’t begin to claim this now!!! Best wishes!!!!
There aren't any. No one in the USA is making a motorcycle engine that small and if they were to attempt to make their own engine it would add thousands to the cost of the bike.
I would go with black with a gold pinstripe trim... checking out the website now.
exactly what i've been looking for, simple, no computer to deal with, and i'll spend more on gas than the insurance premium costs on a monthly basis.
Just came across your bikes and they are beautiful! Would love to buy an all black bike. I'm 6 feet tall so I'd like them more if they had a bigger frame and just being larger in general. Any plans on a new model with a larger frame?
beautiful bikes, i really do like the style and I know they have to be good fun to ride. How much again?
These look beautiful bikes. Are they available for the UK market?
I'm imagining these bikes fitted with the Kawasaki W400 engine. The aesthetics (bevel gear shaft!!) and power range (29hp) of that engine would highly complement the vintage vibe of the Janus line without going over the top in terms of engine size. It's also proven to be bulletproof.
That would be a perfect bike
You'd have to do it yourself. No way Kawasaki would be willing to sell them engines.
Halcyon 450. Highway capable Janus. Honda based XR400 engine.
They make a 450 now
Why didn't you add a fuel indicator? Makes me a bit nervous riding a bike and having to guess how much fuel I have left.
Do I have to come to Indiana or can I get my Halcyon delivered? Thanks!
I have 14k miles on a tu250x if it ever dies I'm heading your way!
Is the fishtail exhaust tip mostly aesthetic or is it actually rate for noise suppression?
Love your bikes and am planning to save up for one soon. Starting a great new job next week and just saw your financing options. Maybe by this time next year I can make it happen
Awesome! It’s mainly aesthetic but it does change the sound a bit. Gives it a little more pop.
My question is about the motor, is it designed to sit tilted forward or is that by choice?
Lot of room in that frame for a V-twin ;)
Yamaha 250/500 V? Nice!
Noice.
Does the owners manual come with valve adj instructions and how much r they
Is the newer 250 RFI engine? This would be good for secondary roads
Is the aluminum reveal tank clearcoated over the aluminum?
I own a Chinese hawk 250 with the same engine i bought for 1300 dollars delivered to my home i know these engines last with minimal maintenance
That's great! Bulletproof little motors
What size are the tires and tubes?
The phoenix model should have a telescopic front suspension along with clip on bars, rear sets , and a twin pod speedo meter cluster showing speedo, tacho and other important info.....lovely bike otherwise !! R U GUYS LISTENING !!!???
Are the Janus Halcyon 250 a good choice for a first bike?
Because of the simple, lightweight design, they make for a great first bike. Check out Mark and Terry’s story. They were first time riders: ua-cam.com/video/5QzDK7CLvlk/v-deo.html
Wish the motor was made in the USA
Nobody in the US makes an engine that small, and making their own engine would add thousands to the cost of the bike.
I would buy it it had a 400cc a 500cc would be really sweet
Same here. I hope they consider upgrading the engine. I think the Kawasaki W400 engine looks perfect for the Janus theme. Or Yamaha's old mid-displacement V-twins.
@@cycoklr there's a 450cc in the works, engine sourced from europe. Much higher price, though.
Not gonna lie. I think I found my next bike. I looked on the website. I saw info such as deposit and such. I didn’t see how long production time is? From deposit to having it in my hands, how long does this take?
Currently we are looking at about 4 weeks!
@@janusmotorcycles are you considering a larger cc or higher reving bike ?
@@thegodhoward8037 They have introduced a 450. The first one rolled off the line last week.
@@Devin_Stromgren your a bit late bud that's old news
@@thegodhoward8037 Ooops, I didn't notice how old this video was.

@Bob J also in the world of buissness the whole scooter background thing don't mean shit
@Bob J good for you
Do you sell in India
Where is the motor made ? 😉😉😉
China. Aka ChiCom
Now that you have a 450, suddenly your bikes have gotten way more interesting to me.
2,000 mile valve clearance check seems pretty excessive.
Build a twin shock mx and I'll race it for you
India best good Gujarat plan development collaboration Government development companies world best marketing two wheeler best bike good and welcome business
Overpriced and oversized Honda Grom except the halcyon has better styling
You had me until you said the engine is made in China. Won't buy anything chinese if possible.
Base price ?????
PLEASE consider making an electric motorcycle. It would be an instant hit!
I believe it's a Chinese engine. Not interested.
chinese engines........ FFS.
Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India ...... AMERICA....... nope.
Chyna :(
Are you guys ever going to produce that bike with at least 100 horses?
What do you need 100 horses for?
@@janusmotorcycles I've had bikes all my life trying to merge or pull away from traffic on the highway can get hectic with a 250 or even a 450 your bikes are beautiful I just wish they had a little more h.p.
