A joy the watch and listen to. It is amazing to know that In Argentina, the Uilleann Pipes are played, mastered and the tradition carried on. Congratulations to all involved in producing this video.

What a fantastic story from Argentina. It's lovely to hear the Uilleánn Pipes being played so well in Patagonia by Pamela. You live in a most beautiful place. I think a nice place to holiday in. There is a tradition between Ireland and Argentina going back a long time. You are making that bond stronger. Thank you.

What a beautiful documentary. She touches on at the end but much of south america has experienced wiping away of culture due to colonial and other outside oppressors, a history I think the Irish peoples can relate to. It's beautiful to have such an enthusiastic group all the way across the globe, and even more wonderful that the NPU has been supporting their journey and community as a way to spread the beauty of traditional cultures.

Pamala: You should do a few traditional Argentenian/Latin sets on the uilleann pipes and upload them here. That would be interesting.

This was such a great watch. I love seeing Irish culture finding its way to other countries. Maybe anyone upgrading their pipes could donate to this lady to grow her school if she paid the shipping? Maybe NPU could do an outreach to pipers because this extension of Irish piping should be encouraged. This show should be on tg4

@pabloschweblin4493: Nice comment at the end 'there is no path, the path is made by walking'.... 'just what I need for my new book! Is it a well-known quotation? R (Australia)
EDIT: I Googled it and found it!
      Walker, your footsteps
are the road, and nothing more.
      Walker, there is no road,
the road is made by walking.
      Walking you make the road,
      and turning to look behind
you see the path you never
      again will step upon.
      Walker, there is no road,
only foam trails on the sea.

You described the Irish music to a T. They're very generous with their music and they're also very reverend about the music. I played in open pub sessions in Ireland and I've concluded that the Irish are the best casual session musicians in the world. You've become a very good piper.

Iontach thar barr/Excellent/Fantástico! I love how the Buenos Aires suburb of 'Hurlingham' derives from Irish sport 'hurling'! The Irish music connection to Latin America goes back hundreds of years to when Irish Jesuits introduced the Harp, so it is really exciting to see the Uilleann Pipes being adopted and flourishing. Bualadh Bos NPU/Congratulations on fostering & supporting this great initiative! 👏

Welsh has survived in Chubut Province, as different languages in others. We argentines all speak Castellano (spanish) but our ancestors came from different countries and we don´t hate cultural diversity; me love it. I have spanish basque, french basque, spanish and italian ancestors, my sons also german and british ancestors, my great sons also norwegian and scottish ancestors, and so on. For us, no matter his ancestry, his religion, the colour of its skin, we are all the same: human beings.
