I grew coleus by seed a year and a half ago. Got six plants ( real easy to grow) . I put three in each planter in the front of my house. They did pretty well until the hot Summer sun took out the three in the sun. Eventually the other had died (so I thought) during our Winter. I thought they were all gone, and then in late spring, look what was starting to grow in my shadier planter. A beautiful red and green beauty !! She's pretty big now and has cut her several times to make more, but not planting it in the sun, that's for sure. It's early Autumn, and I will take several cuttings to root inside before the cold snap.
They look great! I agree they are sooooo easy to take care of.. Just trim them and stick them in the soil.. Water them put under sun and that's it.. They change leaf colors too which is awesome! 😍
Thank you for the valuable tips. I have just started collecting and only have 3 varieties now. I intend to get many more varieties as I can. I love Coleus!
Kindly provide the link for soil NPK fertiliser. I thoroughly enjoy your gardening videos and following your videos I salvaged my 2 big bougainvillea plants.. they are growing so quickly and so well after repotting them with all the necessary ingredients you have suggested in your videos ❤🙏🏽✌🏽 thanks a lot. 🎉
Glad to hear that your plants are growing well, indeed you did a great job! Most of the NPK brands are good and I also try many different brands. For example, right now using Shriram Shakti. You can try other brand also and it would be easily available in local fertilizer store. Wish you all the best!
Glad to know and thank you So much for your words! It would be bit difficult to shape them exactly like Bush but, definitely we can do something to shape them and keep them in control. Please check out this video - ua-cam.com/video/Oe1uR4N6Yw4/v-deo.html We can do the same for all vines and that way, they won't be able to grow here and there. I am keeping my other vines the similar way.
I learnt so much from ur video ..ur info is clear and to the point ..and ur plants are fabulously healthy and gorgeous..ur video inspires me to garden even more..Tq for sharing😊
Thank you for the tips shared. Could you please also share what soil mix you used in this coleus plant? Is this the pot it came in from the nursery? or did you change the soil?

Stay with cow dung. Chemical 19-19-19 will never make a strong healthy plant like dung will.
