    Disclaimer: I need to let you know the second shooter I was using this past year was on loan. I've been Kessler Crane customer since 2012 when I purchase my first real slider from them. They were supporters of Untethered and lent me a second shooter to use while shooting my film Untethered. The opinions of this article and the video are my own, I have not received any payment from Kessler.

    This goes so much further than a standard tutorial Levi. This video helped me figure out the exact setup to get from Kessler to accomplish the shots I have been wanting to create for a long time now.
    And that magic arm trick is killer. Really thought the drone was going to hit your setup at the end there. ;)

    alot of the moves can be duplicated with a pistol type e-gimbal like the beholder ec1. Very light and portable. It can't handle a time lapse dolly move though.

    • @Levi_Allen
      @Levi_Allen  7 років тому

      Right. The big strength is it being entirely automated and the ability to do time lapses. If you are operating the camera yourself gimbals are brilliant.

    Really cool Levi!
    I just bought a Kessler TLS + SS 3 months ago and it works like a charm! However I really wants to add motorized video movements to my future projects so I am wondering if it may be interesting to invest in a normal "video slider" from Kessler and sell the TLS... Is the stealth slider a light one? I am also wondering if it is possible to use the Kessler SS with the stage one carbon from Dynamic Perception? Do you have an opinion about this?
    Thank you!
    And again, really nice video! I hope that Eric will publish it on Kessler site, it really show the effectiveness of their products! Well done! =)

      How light do you need it to be? The pocket dolly is a great option and you could potentially buy that alongside your TLS.
      I have the carbon stealth, but even the regular stealth is an amazing option. I would try just save a bit and have both pieces in your kit. That's what my goal is.
      In regards to using the SS with a stage one, I have no idea if that would work. Do you have one you could borrow to see how easy adapting the motor mount would be?
      I would assume you would need to make a custom bracket for the slider motor. I personally would just use pieces together that were made to work together. I appreciate the reliability within the systems made to work as a whole. If I wanted a stage one, I would have gone with all of dynamic perceptions motion control gear, I like the kessler stuff more so I went that route.
