The man is a genius. Glad to see him getting more exposure. This isn't even one of his more interesting songs.

I recently got into Tigran myself as a devout metalhead. There is sooooo soo much from Tigran that you will need to listen to. Markos and Markos, Levitation 21, The Cave of Rebirth, Vortex (features Tosin from AAL), The Dream Voyager, this goes on and on. You know what, how about just listening to the entire discography on the channel!

Listen to his latest album "The Call Within" and the first song "Levitation". Just amazing music! :)

This is the first Tigran song I heard and needless to say it was a start of an amazing journey. The dude is indeed a genius! Enjoying your reactions as always. :)
PS. If you're up for some more Tigran madness, you should hear "Drip", the Berklee live performance. It's absolutely nuts.

Mockroot is a fantastic album. Check out To Negate and Out of the Grid if you want more headbangers or Song for Melan and Rafik if you want something lighter and beautiful.

"I think if you worked it out it would be in a time signature of 256/32. There is a melody that is grouped in 35/16 that repeats seven times and then resets."

I added this guy to my playlist. Thanks for the recommendation. Really good stuff.
Ive got a rec as well to check out in your free time. One of the most underrated bands called Wolverine just released new material a few weeks ago. They are a prog group out of Sweden. The latest is an audio/visual mini-album titled A Darkened Sun. It has 4 chapters, is about 30mins in total, and can be watched for free @ wolverine-overdose.com Cheers!

Being picky, songs have lyrics, you're not the only one, nearly everyone does it.
Tigran is a great pianist, his ECM albums are very different to this. The album he did with Arve Henrikson, Eivind Aarset and Jan Bang called Atmospheres is Ambient, think Eno with Trumpets and Soundscape Guitars with his piano, it's lovely.
Your friends are correct, you should listen to more jazz, it's where real progression is these days.
Lunatic Soul album is great, not so bothered about the other two 😊
Terje Rypdal has a great new album too. Have you listened to Wobbler yet, worth having a look 👍
