I just used an arduino. Hooked the buttons up to the arduino, plugged the arduino into a usb port on the computer and the arduino replicates a keyboard and sends what keys I want when the inputs are detected. You can send any modifier you want (shift / alt / control + key). Your way is cheaper if you're planning on making multiple cabinets. Mine is cheaper if you're only planning on making one.
Can xpadder modify the triggers on a controller - for example maxing out left trigger to have the maximum output of 85%, instead of 100% when it is fully pressed?
Great Video and thanks for all you do for the hobby, I have followed your setup and when I click on any button on my pin it does not register with any key. It does see the pinscape controller in Windows, but does not add the keys. Any suggestions? and Thanks again
I would watch the video again and go through your setup. I would also check that xpadder is still up in the background. After that , confirm your buttons are registering on xpadder. Then check vpx settings to make sure they match. Good luck!
Been following along the whole way, and recently saw people using Kinect 2 tracking on future pinball...it's incredible. Any plans on implementing head tracking?
Awesome, thanks for watching the series! Yes, I will be trying/adding the kinect later once its all up and running. Thanks for the support for the channel!
Great video thank you. I am having issues though and been trying to work out a solution. Pinup Popper and tables work as expected with cabinet buttons, keyboard volume adjustements work as expected. Using Xpadder the software will not detect the buttons, sometimes I can get magna save and flippers to work but start/extra ball/launch/coin never registers.
You're welcome! If Pinvol works great on the keyboard then it must be the setup in xpadder. Double check your button configs and make sure you saved the controller setup and the button setup. The first time I had it working I only saved the buttons and layout but not my specific layout which is on the upper right corner. Its in the video. Good luck!
Great video! Looks like I have a plan for the weekend vpinball updates!
Sweet! Sounds like fun! i just started filming my tear down so I can paint mine! Thanks for the watch!
Great video well explained as always thank you for all you do.
Leroy!!! Cheers bud!
good stuff as always dude. Thank you!

Cool, good to know. Problem is Arduino doesn't have an accelerometer for nudging. Thanks for the watch!
Very Slick. Totally doing this. 😊
Yeah it's the icing on the cake for Pinvol.....super slick. Thanks for the watch!
Thanks for another good one.
Cheers Terry! Glad you liked it!

I haven't done it but I'm sure it can do trigger sensitivity. Thanks for the watch!
@@wayofthewrench I actually found the way to do this in ds4windows. So pleased. Stay well!
Cool, good to know. Thanks!

@@wayofthewrench Been a painful 3 days but loved every moment of it. In the end reinstalling the pinscape software fixed it.
Awesome, glad you got it figured out. Isn't Pinvol amazing! They should just put it into Baller Installer!
I cant get xpadder to recognize my pinscape bittons either. Did you have to reinstall pinscape or xpadder?@andrewseroka2173
He said he reinstalled pinscape.
Grabbed my rootbeer but now I need a pinball cabinet
That's not acceptable....you need a pinball cabinet. We need to fix this.
Neat
Yup, super useful. Thanks for the watch!
