yeah, the average ones have social anxiety. at least gen z does, if you’re gen alpha and you missed several vital years of grade school, and had an ipad given to you from the age of 4, i can’t imagine you’d be this sociable.
I have a gen alpha in my family and he’s very reminiscent of my generation, which is X. He talks to anyone, they’re just confident and sociable. They have the benefits of X grandparents like myself that realized the mistakes made with their parents and are fixing it with these kids. He also likes working already and getting paid. He works with his dad at the family business. I noticed the one kid was very focused on his future and working on it now by being homeschooled and going into competitions. Good for him! And, they weren’t at all disrespectful, wtf is this dude even talking about?? Those women walked away sad that men their own age aren’t that forward and talkative, guaranteed lol. Z and millennial kids afraid of their own shadows and offending everyone will get eaten alive by Gen Alpha. Ahhh, I can’t wait to watch it. 😂🍿
this is one of those things that doesnt really have too much to do with the generation, every generation has had the quiet shy kind and the more talktative kind, just that the view on those people were diferent, and the shyness is diferent, but i think theres going to be both shy and very expressive talkative gen alpha as much as gen z, millenial, x and what not
Yeah it's a bit sad. Teenagers from 100+ years ago will not just seem like English professors now, but like they spoke an entirely different language, even though it's just plain English, but far more expressive and sophisticated.
@@Anon1gh3 dude thats for every language ☠its not more "expressive" or "sophisticated" it just sounds like that. what seems sophisticated to us was just regular talk to them language changes obviously its nothing new. you think russian kids spoke the same as russian kids in the 1900s? prolly not

Honestly as an elder Gen Z (1999) it's so funny to me I already see Gen Z shitting on Gen Alpha and vice versa in these comments. Like we haven't learned ANYTHING from the dumb conflict with Millennials? Generations are different, have different language and slang that derives from the generation prior, "oh wow what an insane concept, I'm older therefore superior so I'm gonna shit on the new generation and continue the cycle" like seriously how many times did we hear our older generations shit on our TV shows, music, and culture because they think theirs was better, and now we're doing the same.
I'm getting very strong late 90's vibes from these kids. Aside from the modern day slang shit, the attitude is very much the same of simply not givin' a fuck what others think. All that's missing is these two doing kickflips.
As a 62 year old man I found it interesting. I played golf with a 14 yo a while ago and I said something to the cart girl. He said you got rizz!! He explained to me what that meant. 😂😂😂 Every generation has their slang.
Funny thing is, generations won't even realize their own slang and mannerisms because they grew up with them and are used to them. Only once you grow into an adult and see the younger generations do you notice that every generation does indeed have their own mannerisms and slang. Though you might still not be aware of your own. :P
Bro as one of the younger millenials, I feel compelled to correct you. Most of that vocabulary was used by us way back then, but internet culture wasn't fully embraced by society. Now it's the norm. These kids will probably create their own version of cool by the time they start turning 18, 21.
I agree with you here. Though the language is odd for us who don't speak this way, I do think this way of speaking is very sincere, as paradoxical as it sounds to call it sincere.
Finally, a positive comment about how they’re speaking! I find it very interesting how much aave and other dialects have become so widespread because of the internet. And how memes gave us a new way to express our emotions
Imagine if a little kid walked up to you on the street to ask for directions and they naturally talk like that. 2k likes? Everyone that likes has infinite rizz

as a gen z teenager these kids are so strange to me. is this really what milennials felt like?! i know what the slang words mean but I've never actually heard people use them irl. its just crazy weird 😭
As a millennial, yeah this is exactly what we felt when Gen Z started with their own slang. Its okay though, this happens with every generation. It'll eventually happen to them as well.
people, please understand that this used to be us at one point, kid was born around 2011, at that time I remember saying "swag", listening to Party Rock Anthem, thinking about Minecraft and becoming a youtuber was the only thing that mattered. yet we grew up and changed. these kids are living their happiest moments and I wont discourage that.
the fact they actually believe in satire stuff like rizz and shawty is crazy 💀 edit: guys chill i’m not saying they aren’t things i’m jusst saying these kid shouldn’t be saying this when people usually talk about rizz and shanty in a jokey way. ik people use them literally but usually nowadays ppl say it satirically my notifs blowing up help edit2: chill please im saying they shouldn’t be saying it bc they’re kids who haven’t gone thru puberty why are they on about rizzing girls up and calling them shawty
As a person around the age of these kids, they remind me of my classmates. I believe they have acquired their vocabulary from internet memes and tiktok. Edit: Fuckkk why did this comment have to blow up Months later I see just how "cringe" this statement is.
I have 3 Gen alpha's at home... they aren't THIS extra, but it's really freakin hard keeping up with their slang, slangs get old every month and you're embarassing if you say a month old slang. x.x They are extremely smart and understanding and to be honest I'm excited for the future of these kids. They know more than we could imagine at their age, wiser too.
I believe any kid even gen z kids who had access to smart stuff on the Internet at a young age were also smart or wise at that age. Like I remember when I was twelve I moved to a private school that had so many kids from wealthy families and so a lot of them were exposed to the Internet compared to the kids at my old school and so I immediately noticed a sharp contrast with how well they is understood stuff. I literally felt so dumb in my first year cause these kids talked about all kind of stuff like politics and this may be an unpopular opinion but shows on disney and cartoon network really broadened kid's views and I think that's better than just playing outside for entertainment. We played a lot too but I believe the Internet at that age is also pretty good for a child’s mental growth. Sometimes I feel like older generations are just mad at genz and gen alpha for being online too much just cause kids of these generations are much smarter than they were at that age although the Internet of course should be regulated.
@@wellbuttermybiscuits7it's just that knowledge often comes at the price of happiness and I think you clearly see that in Gen Z. I guess people are just worried that we miss out on happy experiences while worrying about all the horrible things happening in the world.
What I've learnt as a teacher: Just listen. You're old so they're not expecting that you get anything. Unlike gen z they don't think it's CrInGy or worth mockery if you don't know what roblox is or who is this week's top influencer but when you do get those things they are usually happy and will talk to you about them. The best part of my job is being kind of well versed in some of that stuff so when I discovered that they like the backrooms I could explain what liminal spaces are and why are they scary (sans the monsters and lewd stuff). I'm a 1992 millennial and I despise how the adults when I was little would say everything was "s4tanic" or bad for the brain or corrupting young people. We would be into Pokemon or Nintendo or the Backstreet Boys and there would always be some Karen around yelling about how horrible our childhood was being because of that. I strive for children not having to go through that anymore.
gen alpha has adopted more modern humor but its gone from like pre-irony ('let him cook' originally used in a sincere way; before it became a meme) irony ('let him cook' is used as a joke) post-irony ('let him cook' is now used sincerely; by these kids for example) but its not even funny because they aren't aware of the previous ironic layer

You can blame Gen Z and their black little hearts for this crap. They're so insecure that they can't bring themselves to be themselves without hiding under 15 layers of irony protection, because they're so ready to just tear each other apart for being "cringe." I cannot stand that about them.

Pretty sure he was just trying to say Jesus is cool :). Basically he’s just trying to be funny, there’s not much thought behind what he’s actually saying. Just saying things to get a reaction out of people.
Błack slang out of their mouths is just so cute, amazing, confident, mature, innovative, creative, musical, lyrical, poetic and talented and out of the mouths of the people who came up with it, it is dirty, repulsive, repugnant, low class, socially inflammatory, jungle mumble, anti-cultural and unnecessary. @@jaykay-_-ok You meant “them” right? “Young” does not necessarily imply “woke” though. Although they could use “they/them” as a neutral, which is classic and correct English grammar regardless of modern gender theory. We have no record of Jesus identifying as non binary anyway, so in the former scenario, why would any “woke” person misgender Jesus? “He is them” does not make sense regardless. If somebody wants to misgender Jesus, or use non-binary pronouns, they would not do it in only half the sentence.
The redhead is definitely taking the piss and it's hilarious. Little man seriously has a future in comedy. They seem like wholesome, good kids and I hope to see more of em. They're funny AF.
There's definitely some New York influence there, but go be around some kids their age and you will find that they all literally and unironically talk like this.
Kids from New York are a blending pot of every race, culture, etc. I know cuz I'm one of em, I'm 22, I'd hope they represent the current generation more than anyone. These are also 2, 13 year old boys. Edit: one's 12
I think what’s more sad are all the comments hating on them. All they’re doing is being kids. They seem authentic and good natured as well. At least they’re more authentic than adults. It’s comments like these that ends up crushing a child’s spirit. Makes them jaded, adopt a persona where they can no longer be or express their true selves.
@@Dsksea I think that's fair and definitely true. I think most people aren't thinking the kids are going to watch this because they assume they're connected as anonymously as they are presented... but honestly it's typical "Back in my day" behavior that every generation does. Young kids don't get that though. Hopefully the children aren't pointed to this video because the video's objective does seem to point out how different they are than we probably expect (and kind of set up those kinds of comments to be made).
yeah i'm 37 and i had a friend like that kid when i was 12; acting similarly around older girls and thinking he was a player as well because he was harmless and they thought he was adorable my friend ended up being painfully closeted until like 30 though, and most of this sort of performance had likely been deflection; hope that isn't what's going on with this kid
33 year old Millennial here, my first thoughts on this video? These are children, they haven't formed their own persona yet. Also, I don't believe we are all that different, we all tend to feel and want the same things in similar stages of our lives. True our external influences and stimulae may differ, but at the core we all think we're going to change the world in our teens, and we all think we have everything figured by our early 20s. And eventually, if we get enough wisdom, we all come to realization that the only thing we can truly hope to do is to live a gentle life, have enough to live by, and maybe if we're lucky and kind, positively impact the journey of another. Generational slang? Fashion, latest tech, media consumption...yes these are all things that shape our lives definitely, but again, at the very core, I think we all feel and want the same things, just with slightly different covers. This movement of creating labels for different groups of people, separate us more than unite us, all that's happening is generating this patronizing feeling on each other.
When the 4 foot tall kid started referring to adult women as “shawty” I lost it 😭 I’m 20 and a few months back I was hit on by a really bold 12 yr old. The confusion rendered me speechless at the time, but now I get it…..generation alpha’s just straight up insane 😂

At first I (a millennial) was very uncomfortable, but the more I watched, the more I just became fascinated. I'd watch a whole documentary about these kids.
I'm 46 and honestly it seems the only difference between these two and my buddy and me, back in the late 80's and early 90's., was that we didn't have millions of people watching us. This is exactly what we did everyday lol Times change people don't.
Thank you for a balanced and simple perspective. I'm only 23 but still I don't see why people struggle to accept that kids are kids, teens are teens, the slang will change but the personalities of the age bracket won't
Most of the slang that he uses has been around for decades. It’s just these suburban white people disconnected from urban culture and living in their private little bubbles
Also im not just saying that just because, I’m saying that because I’ve seen people like this in my grade and they are not that nice to the less popular kids
This kid just knows all the street talk and has so much confidence because he's a skateboarder. Anyone who grew up as a skateboarder knows many kids like him
Its called watching mainstream media and every movie props children to be rude and overly thinking they have special powers. Its not a movie. You take the internet down these kids will turn into mice stuck in a trap. Put that on any god.
As a 26 year old, and someone who considers themselves still young. This makes me feel so old. How have kids changed so much in such a short space of time?
As a 34 year old, I've been there. You get used to it. I don't feel as old as I am, and it's weird when I realize I'm as old my high school swim coach was back in the day. A tiny bit of advice I'd like to give if you don't mind is that you've reached the age where your body will start to run down and wear out if you aren't taking care of it properly. If you eat a clean diet, exercise regularly, and sleep properly you can maintain a feeling of youth and vitality as you continue growing older. Wish you the best, and good luck with all of your life's pursuits.

This just gave me war flashbacks of when us Gen Zs used to say "fail", "YOLO", "big yikes", "ded", "I can't even" , "I oop-", "yeet", "savage", "bruh" and so many others lost with time.
These guys are outliers. They obviously wouldn't pick kids that aren't entertaining to watch lol. My niece and nephew are their age and they don't talk or act like this at all.

My son is like this, he's 14. It seems toxic but they're honestly just having fun. It's lighthearted. He has me doubled over laughing daily. And he loves Jesus too. This makes me smile. These are rich homeschooled kids in NY. Not indicative of most children in the US. Unfortunately increasing poverty due to stagnant wages, and raising costs of living almost guarantees other children don't have any time with busy parents and are essentially raised by a phone and tiktok culture, which is why they speak like black people, because that's what the Internet presents to them as cool.
They are a bit cringe, but maybe our broken generation managed to give them the confidence we lacked Love to see it, and love to see people confidently being who they want to be.
My thoughts on this as a genZ are mixed: On one hand I find it weird that this ironic language is used seriously, and it's scary how much of an effect the internet (specifically tik tok culture) has on children, both on the way they speak, dress and behave, I guess the same goes for genZ and earlier social media apps. On the other hand, all I see is normal children communicating on their own way which is something that we all did. They are optimistic, happy and excited and that's amazing, that's childhood. In some sense though if feel like their forced to act more "grown up" than they are mature, and it shows. I am curious, scared, perplexed and excited to see how this generation evolves.
As a Gen Z kid (lol hurts calling myself a kid), we all did the same thing didn't we? We weren't "forced" to act more grown up, we just did because we wanted to look mature and cool. That's what kids do, it's completely normal. Regardless, I feel the same way as you do about the future generations.
My brother was making fart noises and ding dong ditching at 12/13. He was using words like “crunk”and “da bomb”and now he makes 6 figures and talks like your average man. We will be fine. This is normal progression. Let these kids be kids we are over analyzing things I think.
Actually by every generation to come, kids learn things faster cause information is everywhere on their phones, tablets, video games, etc. i think that's the reason nowaday's generation looks more "grown up" than last ones
@@zekion.Nah. Personally, I was forced to grow up early because our family moved into a foreign country where a different language was spoken. So, my parents couldn't teach my anything anymore, because our knowledge on our new country was nearly collectively 0. I'm a millennial and let me tell you, when I was their age, I used to hear how my previous generations made fun of us because we were considered a hopeless generation (we inherited a bad economy and lots of social changes in our society). But you know what: we broke through all that bullying and we are now the ones moving society forward and the economy. So we haven't didn't do so bad as millennials, as our ancestors thought we would. And now looking at Gen Z and Alpha, I know how not to underestimate them and judge them wrong. Life is always changing every few decades for people on Earth. This means we all have to embrace the changes each time and just keep moving. It's either accept that, or be stuck in the past and don't fit into society. As times change, you have to be open-minded to change to. Gen Z and X, you got it!
Not all change is good, the past is usually better in every way, you've just never seen it through someones eyes in the 1950s or 100s. We've been brought up to believe the future is better than the past, when they made everything we have today. The majority of people are good, its the bad ones that speak up and make an entire era (please don't judge an ENTIRE era off of a single group of people) look awful by their delusions. If you right now, were sent back to the 1950s, you would be pleasantly surpised on nearly every stereotype you'd immediately expect. People are out here describing the past by exact cliches like its movie playing out and not a real time in life.
@@WitchKing-Of-Angmar noone's saying the future is better, we just can't control how times change, realistically speaking, so might as well go with it and enjoy. And in some ways, it never changes, everyone's just doing their thing, adapting to the environment into which they were born. We're humans, that's what we do.
This kid has a lot of room to grow, he really isn't at a bad place. Sure, he's saying ironic shit unironically, but when it comes to actually listening and communicating with people he's pretty good. This redhead kid is a proper shit talker, even when I was his age I wasn’t that cocky and I was the king back then, overly confident, always cracking genuine jokes lifting everybody up, but then the mad chaos of the world overtook me over the years. When you’re a kid you don’t know anything though you think you know and are easy about everything, but your world is very narrow, especially at 13, your consciousness is still in development, they live in a proper illusion as we speak, but when they will come to consciousness about their mortality and how things really work in this life, it’s gonna hit them hard and the high energy they have today will turn opposite. It’s gonna be ugly.

Some people are just more extroverted and now they have access to the internet and a far more user-friendly internet. I had barely started to explore the internet via the clunkiness of Internet Explorer when I was 13; nowadays they have UA-cam and social media apps pretty much from birth. This doesn't mean that they aren't different in their own way. Newer generations are always going to seem outlandish to the older ones and that's great. We desperately need change and progress.
I mean yeah, internet? I didn't really start exploring that until 2003 or 4, two years after grad school, when I was 28. can't imagine how weird it'd be if I were a child and it existed, and it did anything other than let you find some pictures of dinosaurs (which IS about all it did, in the 90s.)
The last sentence is 100% true, but progress certainly is not one of the benefits that generation alpha brings, mainly in the Western world. And I'm not an old guy who doesn't like kids or something, I'm 13, and I truly think that my generation is done for.
They are adorable and wholesome in their own way. But also confident and bright, give them a chance guy they are just starting let them develop how they want to talk lol

As gen a I agree, this is a small percent of the kids (and its mostly just the boys who are like this) but I do know kids like this
this is one of those things that doesnt really have too much to do with the generation, every generation has had the quiet shy kind and the more talktative kind, just that the view on those people were diferent, and the shyness is diferent, but i think theres going to be both shy and very expressive talkative gen alpha as much as gen z, millenial, x and what not
I teach kids this age. No way no how is this representative. If you took my classes as being representative, maybe 2% would be like this.
We finally have a generation that are young enough to be completely unaware that it was all ironic and are using it all genuinely. I love it.

Oh please. "They know more than we could imagine at their age."? Speak for yourself.

As a 26 year old, and someone who considers themselves still young. This makes me feel so old. How have kids changed so much in such a short space of time?
The internet.

Im only in my 20's but these 2 kids have a smilier energy of people in old 60's 70's videos just chilling, in no rush, talking to strangers, speaking their mind, etc. Sounds a bit drastic, but I have a lot more hope for the future than I thought I would after watching this.
Life is great as a a kid. It gets worse when you realize whats really going on.
I’m with you 🤝

They may not necessarily be good places.
Kids probably not afraid of talking to strangers because he never heard of poor little timmy getting abducted.
They probably think it’s cap because it never trended on their fyp or the gram.
My thoughts on this as a genZ are mixed:
On one hand I find it weird that this ironic language is used seriously, and it's scary how much of an effect the internet (specifically tik tok culture) has on children, both on the way they speak, dress and behave, I guess the same goes for genZ and earlier social media apps.
Personally, I love slang. I love when language comes in different styles, and you can pick which one you want to use when.
@@zekion.Nah. Personally, I was forced to grow up early because our family moved into a foreign country where a different language was spoken. So, my parents couldn't teach my anything anymore, because our knowledge on our new country was nearly collectively 0.
I also had to translate for my mother, as I picked up the language earlier than she did.
“You think I got rizz?”
“How old are you?”
“I’m 13”
“He’s old enough” 😭😭😭 I can’t lmaooo

Yh these kids are pretty much black but not😂
Honestly, I'm 32 but I vividly remember being a kid, a preteen, and a teen. These two aren't that different from other guys I knew back when I was their age.
I 100% agree with that last sentence
The last sentence is 100% true, but progress certainly is not one of the benefits that generation alpha brings, mainly in the Western world. And I'm not an old guy who doesn't like kids or something, I'm 13, and I truly think that my generation is done for.

But even if I griped (and yeah, cried) about it then, now - as an adult - I am VERY very grateful towards my parents for raising me that way.
