Do you think you'll do a road to rank 1 series this season or something similar (the educational live commentarys). They were really helpful and entertaining
Important thing to be aware of for the two side mid lane brushes - if you're warding those make sure you ward in the middle, as wards too close to one side (up/down the map) won't grant vision to the far side of the brush So it might look like you're safe, but when you walk in someone could be waiting on the far side to make a pick - if it's a Rengar you're probs fucked Alongside the tip you mentioned about warding further out into the river to peek a bit around the corner Thanks to Navcan's recent vision guide for that wisdom! Worth the watch too :D A lot of info to digest, but worth if you're putting the time in I guess
i played that part about pink wards and learned so much. Such small changes in distance can create such huge changes in options for the opponent, and that actually you can just learn and memorize the placements to avoid certain likely outcomes. It also makes me think of getting way more meticulous in learning about my champiosn abilities and how they interact with the map or certain bottlenecks on the map.
One possible problem I've come up with is when to go off and ward. Say you've got priority and you crash your wave into their turret. I assume that'd be the best time and getting vision/deep vision is a decent tradeoff for letting your lane opponent catch back up on CS? Or are there any other times/scenarios when warding would be optimal?
It depends on if you want to harass them under tower or not, if you do then you want to ward a little bit before the wave crashes. If you can't safely harass under tower, then you want to ward after the wave crashes like you said. Generally early game if I'm going for a 3 wave crash I'll try ward sometime on the 2nd or maybe start of the 3rd wave to make sure I can harass on the 3rd one.
I never ask for a leash when I play jungle. You can solo start on red or blue and full clear or do anything else you want. With brand, for example, you usually start blue, solo and you can do a full clear wayyyy before scuttle spawns. If you don’t see any lane leashing at level 1, I wouldn’t assume anything until you see the jg. If you do put that raptors ward lvl 1, you’re likely to see him do raptors if they stared on red, if you don’t, you can assume they started blue.
Your videos have given me a lot to consider when I'm playing and have made me much better at macro. Super underrated in terms of views. I tried out Jayce and recently Ahri because of your videos and they are extremely fun. thanks.
Hey Shok! Amazing video as always. I was wondering if you could make a video about mid lane champion identity. Like in which situations to pick a certain champ etc. Love your content!!!
Hey man, nice vid! I've got two questions, 1. isn't it better to always ward botside because of the support that can roam? If not then why? 2. Isn't it better to ward on the side that the enemy jungle starts because of the potential lvl 3 gank? If not then why? P.s. keep it up man these videos do help improve!
1. Support can just as easily roam from topside out of base, so normally you just want to be warding the side you are going to be playing/moving to 2. If you ward on the side of the 3 camp gank then you'll be safe from that, but you'll instead die to a regular gank from the other side. It's better to just hug away from the 3 camp gank and if you hug properly you should be safe and use your ward to prevent the normal ganks
Hey, love the video could you do a video about wave management, wave bouncing and backs? I'm really struggling with this, this season. I don't even know why, I know they changed waves but I just can adapt to it. Would appreciate it.
If you suspect they will start raptors is it worth just warding raptors before the first wave? And are there many junglers who would start leashless blue?
I think it's still better to ward later if you're getting prio even if you think they are starting raptors but I guess it's fine, I'm sure there are junglers that can start leashless blue it's just going to be very uncommon
Stuff like Shaco is just... impossible to play against in soloq imo. I really hate playing against eve/shaco/noc/zac/hec etc. I just make sure I have a dash and try not to die too much
Im just wondering about the jungle tracking, most junglers I see right now are doing no leashes and starting on raptors/grump instead of starting buff with leash so what would I do if neither lane is leashing? am I just in the dark until someone spots them?
this is so hard if u dont play jg and where they path, i always get ganked by junglers. T_T idk when to be aggressive in lane, if i am, i get ganked, if i play safe, i get pushed back, and then my laner rotates and gets kills :( T_T
My possible self-answer: A ward where the enemy jg is would be more valuable so at least we can get a confirmation of the enemy jg position if he shows up there
lets say jg starts top side so i hug bot side, but why should I place a ward bot side at 2:30 and keep huging bot side when I know he will be bot side since he cleared top? shouldnt I just start huging top side at 2:30 and ward there?
Jungle tracking question: what if, say, enemy jgler makes a lvl3 gank on top/bot with 12-20 cs, and after whatever happens just recalls, isnt it necessary to understand what camps he skipped in order to hug the opposite side of those camps? In other words, does the logic „he ganked top with 12+ cs means he cleared all bot camps“ always work? Arent there situations when jglers skip some camps or smth
On 12 cs you can check the buffs: only red ganking red he did only his redside, same with only blue ganking blue; if he has red ganking blue he likely did red raptors gromp so he's probably going to stay in his blueside; if he has double buff he did red-blue-gromp. These are the most common 3 camp strats for jng, excluding invades
Other comment already covered what to do in this situation, but if for whatever reason you can't figure out where the enemy jungler is gonna go, as long as you place a ward and hug to it you should still be safe even if it's not 100% optimal positioning

Yep, playing on doing road to rank 1 and unranked to master

Just today i was throwing my leads away by dying to ganks and took a mental note to learn this.
What timing.
i was literally re watching your old fundementals videos. this came like a medicine! thanks shok :3
You're most welcome :D
Thank you! Warding and jungle tracking have always been rough for me, this will help a lot
you are underated this is gold information thanks been waiting for an updated s14 guide for a while thanks .
I've been waiting all season 14 for this vid from you, happy to see it out already

This might be explained in the advanced jg tracking guide, but does anything change if I'm facing, say, shaco or something similar?

I think this is covered somewhere in the video but you want to just ward to the side your jungler is pathing to
@@ShokLeague yeah like right after I posted this you talked about it where I was at in the video lol my bad and thank you
Ok but what if the enemy has nocturne and all of a sudden wards don't matter
Wards are still good if you can get them on his camps, otherwise you just have to chill and try not to die
Can u make a full guide for tf? It has become realy popular, but people like me does not know how to play/build.
Not that good at him so probably not

Finally an S14 Shok video
I have a question, why we would ward the side the enemy jg is at min 4? wouldn't it be safer to hug and ward the opposite side where the enemy jg is?
My possible self-answer: A ward where the enemy jg is would be more valuable so at least we can get a confirmation of the enemy jg position if he shows up there
Yep you basically self answered this, spot out the enemy jg + you can waste his time if he tries to gank mid
hi shok love your content, do you do long term coaching plans?
I do! There's a link in the description

You want to spot out the jungler so you can waste his time/collapse on him, it also helps your teammates if they aren't tracking the jungler

Another Shok Banger🔥
Can you do road to rank 1 again?
Yep I've started recording some
The fae in the thumbnail baited me because of legends of runeterra
10:14. Since when we can see which ward will get replaced in the mini map? TIL
Great guide!
thank you for your hard work shok :D
Thank you so much for the content. Keep up the good work brother
Great video
Hey shok can u plss make updated syndra and sylas guide
I'll probably give Sylas an updated one, I think Syndra is still very up to date though
@@ShokLeague yes sylas guide even better
Very helpful. Thanks ^^
Thank you for the content
Do you plan on making a discord server would be cool?
There's one in the description
Wait, so im actually supposed to hug the ward?! All this time i ward to the side the enemy jg is, and hug the opposite side! HAHA
Yeah because normally if you hug the ward, you will see the jungler in time anyway so you will have plenty of time to run away if you react quickly
Thanks shok ⚡️
This is fantastic
Or you could play Akali only, never ward, and just R E the jungler when they show up
On red side, solo invading blue lvl 1 is strong, in low elo ig. No one checks blue buff
ty so much, im a big fan! you are awesome:3
You're very welcome :D
