Haven't watched the video, but here's my prediction: 5. Pick a civ that can make hussars 4. Get all relevant hussar upgrades 3. Get up to about 70 on food so you can spam hussars 2. Get a lot of stables to spam hussars 1. Spam hussars Honorable mention: maybe also think of teching into a unit that counters units that counter hussars, but not too many otherwise you won't have pop space to make hussars.
Yo Hera, congrats on the KotD win. Honestly Amazing performances from both you and the Viper probably the best gameplay the game has ever seen. Maybe it may seem that the Viper made some bad tactical decisions, but in my opinion you just played as perfectly as humanly possible and gave him no quarter, every mistake punished.
And build them forwards too (especially for slow units), a halb that's walking across the map is just a wasted pop space until it gets there and if you have 30 units walking and they have all their units fighting you're just gonna get clapped in every fight
Win condition does seem by far the most important, but I feel like there is more tactical depth to it? Such as: civs lacking imp eco upgrades. Civs lacking imp armor/final attack on a specific unit. Unique unit power spikes, etc! Would be awesome if you could elaborate on this!!! That being said: great vid!!!
Would love to see another video on win conditions. What if I have two relics? Is the philosophy different on Golden Pit? What if I have a civ win? Stuff like that
ROR content? IE how to play as Rome in game, and senerios. Would love to see you do SOTL Rome Vs barbarian mod when he does ROR and Byzantine mod. Preferably you and SOTL Vs each other or Vs 6 barbarian guests.
I would add to defending raids something I have noticed you and other pros doing: Patrol a few counter units in your eco like a few halbs if your opponent raids with cav. You usually don‘t micro raiding units which leads to them fighting the patrols and dying
I love the idea of blocking hills with production buildings. You can do a similar thing on small neutral islands. Typically you can block these small islands with just 3 archery ranges.
I usually manage eco pretty well until Imperial age, but as soon as I get a big army and i have to micro/siege/raid with it then I suddenly find myself floating thousands of resources, what to do against this?
Hera, thank you for all the tips man; and also, thanks for not making obnoxious thumbnail images for your videos (like *some* other players making monkey faces for their thumbnails); stay true bro; you rock.
I wish relic control mattered more in TG. The gold gen is laughable compared to what trade gives (I would not mind trade nerf even) and relic victory is a meme.
Late game strategies is what I needed. I usually lead in the early and mid-game but loose in the late game. This guidance is exactly what I needed. Many Thanks!!!
Low to mid elo tip: when attacking the enemy focus destroying the monastery because many players at this level will take a very long time to build a new one and re-capture relics. Also town centers as most players will reboom villagers lost to raids, but many won't add new town centers so their re-boom will be much slower.
Indeed, I find that petards are sometimes useful for this as they are harder to stop at lower level, and even if they are not cost effective, as main damage comes from enemy not rebuilding stuff.
so regarding hill bonuses late game. I was originally think u forgetting to neglec thte enemies are getting tankier thus its even compared to early game, but the major effect for ranged units is the % increase in dmg is so much higher bc of high pierce armor (every FU unit has at least 4 pierce armor for bsmith tech) also rip to those who didnt want the results of kotd5 finals spoiled (bc the background).
The best late game tip is to just win or lose before u get there 😎
i always manage to lose before imp
Nerf POLES plz

Always hussars
Me on my way to make Korean Hussars

my tip for the late game: just spam husars!
Congrats on your KOTD win man, keep up the grind 💪.
Elite Jans actually deal 22+6 dmg on any higher elevations in the game. 2 hit kills Fu Eskirm or Fu Arbalest also kills FU paladin in just 9 hits...
These are pretty good tips. I hope this guy wins a tournament in a decisive way.
you are the goat of AOE 2
thank you Hera
Your welcome!
Hills should give more range to missiles not damage. And melee should be more attack and defense.

Yeah it’s crazy that the viper played great, but Hera was just relentless and took advantage of every single thing. He’s in really great shape
I already know it will be on here but the number one tip that helped me. Make more production buildings!!! I’m floating 5000 food on 3 stables.
And build them forwards too (especially for slow units), a halb that's walking across the map is just a wasted pop space until it gets there and if you have 30 units walking and they have all their units fighting you're just gonna get clapped in every fight
And the corollary. Destroying the opponent production can break the stalemate.

i was wondering how long it would take for hera to bring up hussar

i can recommend the Harry Gameplay channel for sure for sure, stay tunis guys
I've been stuck in 900 elo hell for god knows how long lol 😂😂.

Best tip to win AoE2 ? Don't play against Hera

Key bind select all barracks, select all archery range, select all stables etc. Spamm units. Get enough buildings
Amazing video as usual. Knowing how to recognize win conditions is the hardest skill imho. Would love to see videos about win cons. Congratz on kotdV

That was some nice info. Thanks! :)
Congratulations for the title 😌! I like your videos man, keep it rollin' 🔥

Siege units that only cost food - supremacy villagers with sappers.

The best tip is to get your 20 stables and hussar upgrades ready
Clutch video
Huns also have a bonus with trebs :) thanks Hera and 90 for that bad joke. Congrats
Hera, what are your thoughts about university technologies?
Summary - make castles everywhere!
1. Castles on hills for map control
2. Castles at home to defend
3. Castles on the side for gold control.
Just play slavs :D cheap castles and good cav.
no one is making 500 hussars in a normal game, and that food u have could be sold to make more palidan
Your mission in life is to make us spam hussars, even with the Mezo civs :DDD
Bother the neighbors? They get access to Top 5 tips for late game faster than the rest of us
Hera out here trying to make a worthy opponent for himself

awesome thnkyou.
considerate Hera voice
Great vid. Trade with your enemy? What does that mean?
Trading army means taking fights even if they arent 100% winning for u, just to wittle down his gold units
Hera tips: "Let's say you make 500 Hussar"
😂😂😂😂
Great video
Amazing
Nice!
great
Nice
Late game tip: Hera plays for you, you beat everyone on the earth
Congrats hera on the kotd win, you inspired me to get better at this game.
It's funny how Hera gives away a lot of his secrets, lines of thought and priorities on the game and keeps winning. Excellent job as always.
He seems like a genuine guy and I really like him but tbf all people on the very top already know all of this
Hera recording late at night is basically asmr
Keep up the good work Hera!
Love the editing!
Thanks. Learned alot.
Happy to hear that!
