My poor iPad almost bit the dust as I struggled to pause and rewind the video as I was making these last night. Full disclosure, the incident in question was like around cocktail number 4… lol. But seriously, recipes in the description PLEASE. Until then, don’t be like me, folks. Jot down the recipe, THEN go grab your bottles and start measuring.
All the cocktails look amazing and sound amazing. I actually made the Maximillian Affair just a few weeks back. Let's just say I'm still looking for a mezcal that doesn't taste like a used fireplace. On this continent we don't really have much of a selection in mezcals.
Yeah, anywhere outside the US and Mexico is sad when it comes to Mezcal. But hey, at least on the bright side, you could always try to get some stuff from mainland Europe for reasonable prices if and when you travel. In that case I'd look at Koch Espadin, Rey Campero Espadin, Encantado, VIDA or Montelobos Espadin if really ham-strung, Alipús, Nuestra Soledad, among some others. In the Middle East (where I'm at), all I have in terms of any actually decent stuff is Del Maguey VIDA (with ONE solitary sighting of Chichicapa which was well out of my price range anyway) and Marca Negra (which again, too expensive).
Would be great if we got some suggestions/alternatives for selections. I have no idea what La Luna is and definitely don't have it on hand. Can I sub in Del Maguey Vida? I have a few other mezcals, but don't know enough about them to know which to use.
@@Lui_Fern I have 4 mezcals total, including the Vida. The other 3 are espadin. Mezcal Aramas, Koch el mezcal, and Monte Lobos… please help save me from making 4 different versions of each one of these (because that’s the kind of thing I would do to myself…). Any thoughts on which ones might be best for which of these? Appreciate being schooled by the master. You totally changed my tequila game and appreciation for the spirit. I was a Patron guy and a Don Julio guy until I found you. Now I’ve got a whole shelf full of awesome picks from Fortaleza to El Tesoro, G4, and Tequila Ocho. I still don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to Mezcal, though. Far as I’m concerned you are the patron saint of agave! (Saving people from Patron, the patron saint of money making).
Lui! I'm sad. I want to make these, but having to pull up the video and pause it as I make the drink is killing me. If the recipe isn't in the description most times I will just pass.
ELECTRON: surprisingly good!!! Merci beaucoup Lui !
Happy you enjoyed that one! It surprised me as well
Would love if you posted your recipes in the description. Its a pain in the rear trying to make some of your recipes skipping through the video.
Haha! I know. The dedication is real.
@@PanchoKnivesForever For real. It puts a real barrier between me and trying to create these cocktails if the recipe is not readily available in text.

This is why I came to the comments, to ask for, or add to this request.
Lui! Terrific line-up of off-the-beaten path Mezcal cocktails. Thanks for sharing some of your favorite Mezcal specs to add to our "try'em" list.
Happy you enjoyed them! 😊
Chapters for each cocktail would also help. At least we could easily jump to the recipe we want.
These are some great choices Lui.
Thanks my friend! 😁
I saw that ice cube escape! LOL! Great cocktails!
This guy is just amazing
Thank you 😁
I’m serious Sir. Been a long time fan of your content. Thank you for keeping it honest

They should all work to a certain extent with vida. I personally use vida quite a lot for mezcal cocktails
