I don't know where are you from, but even 30-40 years ago Yugoslavia had a very strong pop-rock-alternative scene, it is normal to us 😀

Serbia was always the center of music at the Balkans. Even to this day, all former Yugoslav countries have their artists perform in Serbia and contribute to the eclectic music scene beyond just Turbofolk.

Yes musically it is completely different, and unpredictable. Some criticize his vocal abilities, but that is irrelevant, he is simply telling a story.
