I own both mics. When compared in a totally untreated room (meaning nothing resembling a studio), the MV-7 seems to be better at rejecting room noise. For that reason, plus the included software, I feel the additional value added for the additional expense is worth it.
The noise floor in q2u is very significant compared to mv7???

Great comparison! I have a Q2U & looking to upgrade. Are you using a signal booster? (i.e. Fethead/Cloud Lifter)

Q2U with processing on is so good
You had the MV7 on USB @ full gain (36 dB), but it was soooo quiet..., that is strange, because i watched podcaststage-guy before Your video, and he hadn`t that issue...
I can't really distinguish any difference between these mics (USB or XLR) if I am listening from the PC's speakers (no headset). I will stick with the Q2U which I've been using for nearly 3 years now for podcast recordings.
If money wasn’t the issue, would you get the MV7? Or get the Samson and just get other stuff for your studio with the difference? Argh...i feel like I should invest in the MV7, but what I can only afford now is the Samson.
The MV7 is definitely better. But the Samson Q2U is a solid budget pick.
Q2u Is Better Value.. Plus Mv7 Doesnt Come With A Stand Or Xlr Cable
