Interesting to hear Tom's doesn't work for you. BTW, I learned from an essential oil expert that Bergamot oil can give burns and rashes when applied skin is exposed to the sunlight, so be careful with Shmidt's bergamot..
Yes Lume is baking soda free. I double checked the ingredients and their website just now. The first thing on the website lists the whole line as aluminum free and baking soda free ☺️💜
