This was my first concert. You had to mail in your money to get tickets. Our money got mailed back; no tickets. But my grandpa got free tickets from Pepsi, so we got to go. It confused my young mind that they served Coke at the concert, because the venue had an exclusive deal.
If you notice the 1st leg of The Bad world tour set list resembles the Jackson Victory Tour with the same songs up until the last three songs.
@BadMJ yup it's true I remember watching the interview Entertainment tonight for the bad tour rehearsals MJ said we are starting all over with a new songs on the set and a new stage
Yeah
The first leg is like a better Victory Tour (because we got 3 more songs and the Beat it dance)
BUT
There is less energy than at the Victory Tour
And performances of songs by the Jacksons without his brothers are not that good
And the outfits aren't that good too
My most favourite tour will always be the Victory Tour 🤘

Michael always looked straight ahead while spinning so he didn't get dizzy, it was his first solo tour. He really enjoyed himself. My only regret in life is not seeing Michael live. I've been a fan of Michael for 38 years, ever since Thriller. #KingOfPopForever 👑 👑

I've been a dancer for just about 7 years now and I think I know how Michael does those spins with keeping his head straight almost the whole time. When your doing a pirouette, you look at a certain object wherever you are, you keep your head straight for a few moments, then you whip it around as you finish your turn. But he incorporates that into his spins.That's as best as I can describe it
There you go, my all time favorite performance ever, especially Shake Your Body. I told you, that "Domo Arigatouu !" is so adorable and pleasantly polite at the same time.
This is the most exciting version of "Day and Night" and my favorite, he was so spaztastic!🤯🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey fan girl I heard you mention how perfect Michael's spin is and I have always been impressed with the spin and how he keeps his balance 100% of the time. But what is most impressive is when he performed ease on down with road in the Wiz. Michael had those big scare crow feet yet he managed to spin while in those large feet and he also did a spin on one foot while performing ease on down the road. Even with large shoes he could spin lol. I believe you were talking about how Michael could spin while the cord wraps around his body , then jump out of it!!

It was stated that Michael was dizzy almost all the time because of him spinning and dancing so much even Witnesses stated that they would catch Michael being dizzy most of the time.

Yes. But I understand why it was more difficult later for him. He had been singing professionally since he was 5 and toured every year plus variety shows between 69-81. In the time before MTV, touring was the only way for audiences to see besides television so he sang so much without a ton of breaks for vocal rest.

Funny enough about Siedah she was supposed to do the Bad tour with Michael and even began rehearsing with him, but she ended up recording an album then
In ballet, dancers who turn do something called 'spotting' where you keep your eyes and head in the same spot; after you've turned you come back to the same spot and your eyes stay as long as they can in that spot before turning. It stops us from getting dizzy.
Hm, when I do spins I never get dizzy because I did it so much. Thought it was a matter of repitition rather than technique. Thank you anyways.
I do spotting to avoid getting dizzy and it'd be logic for Michael to do so, but Mike's technique seems kinda different.
It looks like he turns his head to his left and focus on his shoulder. Maybe it has the same effect as spotting since you keep your sight on the same spot while spinning.

27:43 I have a dance background and it’s called spotting. So basically you spot where you want to land your turn and it helps to keep your turns clean.I think he does this but idk he doesn’t look like he does it he might just have good control over his turns

I get it. His songs are on daily rotation in my music collection but for long while I haven't intently listened and sought his music. You could say that but remember most of the choreography comes from his music videos which he hasn’t shot yet. The only video out at this time was “Bad”. So I guess until he got the choreography down and the sound check he went with what he knew.
