- ‘Are you ready to downsize?’’
In this episode, Leon and his wife Dawn are wondering if the time is right to downsize. Are they ready to sacrifice their big family home for something smaller, which would give them more freedom to travel - and most importantly, mean no more mortgage?
You usually get 15 minutes max to look around a new property before making a life changing property decision - but we're giving them 24 hours in a new home that represents that brand new lifestyle. By the end of the episode, what will they decide?
In this three-part series, financial expert Tayo Oguntonade will be on hand to turn financial fears into an optimistic outlook as three couples seek to make their financial dreams a reality.

This is an exceptional show concept! I appreciate the host's enthusiasm as well.
He's probably just happy for the work.
How can they have lived in their house for 23 years and still owe 200k on it? Can't have been much more than that to buy
Probably wasted all their spare money fixing up knackered old cars 😂😂
Theyve got 200k left to pay on their mortage despite living there for so many years - figures dont add up. Guessing theyve been paying bare minimum, or interest only or took equity out along the line
Yeah the house can't have cost anything more than 200k to buy
I can’t imagine purchasing a property on a beach is a good idea given rising sea levels. What is the likelihood it will be there and be sellable in 20 or 30 years? I don’t know the area but in many areas coastal areas will look very different in 25 years.
Exactly
On the west coast, you’ll most probably be fine. East coast, depends which stretch of coast.
Exact same thought
Lots of maintenance to do in the futture as well and looking out at the sea probably not that great in the winter. Looked a bit isolated as well. They have the right idea to head closer to town. Can still visit the beach whenever they want.
Considering every major billionaire has bought on the supposedly eroding coasts around the world, its unlikely to be an issue. Gates, Obama, etc have all bought sprawling coastline properties. Humanity has always sought to live by the water
What a charismatic family !!!!
What sort of pension advice can you offer me? Bit late for that conversation .... they need to go mortgage free asap
Couple goals❤
Screw the state pension! I’m keeping my money 😂
Why is the picture blured out at 1:19 but then not at 1:56. What a stupid thing to do.
But there is hardly any sun in the UK for 80% of the time it's wet weather 😢
That's because of cloud seeding to make you believe in climate damage, but finally they are admitting they have been playing with the weather
Climate change is coming !! Soon be like the costa brava😎
How can u down size from an already tiny home.
Maths is obviously not your strong point then. Fortunately they explain in the video.
