Loved following these trucks around town , during my youth years on bicycle . The more the driver and helper got to know me , they would send me with their money to nearby convenience stores for snacks like chips and drinks like pepsi and whatever change came back , I was told from them to buy candies like gummy bears
It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff gets thrown into the garbage without sorting out what can be recycled or even donated to charity. Here in Surrey, B.C., Canada, most of the items being hauled away in this video would be left at the curb by garbage pick up. The landfill sites in the U.S. must be massive and fill up fast. Here: Mattresses need to be taken to the dump or transfer station, where there is a dedicated spot for disposal. The mattresses then get taken to a special recycler that separates the metal springs, foam, fabrics and they all get recycled. Cardboard boxes get folded flat and if there are multiple boxes, they must get bailed together and get picked up by the recycling truck every 2 weeks Glass bottles/jars, soft plastics (bags, wrappers, etc), batteries, electronic items, kitchen small appliances, outdoor gardening power equipment, used oil, paint/paint cans, must get taken to a local recycling depot and there is no charge for disposal. Food wastes and other compost items must be put into a special bin for weekly curb side pickup and is turned into compost. Metal items (bed frames, bicycles, etc.) need to be taken to a transfer station for recycling (no charge). Large appliances, Propane tanks must be taken to transfer station for recycling In Surrey, we are allowed 4 large furniture items to be picked up by the City at no charge for disposal. This helps reduce the number of furniture items people would otherwise dispose of in a ditch or field. The system is not perfect but it definitely has made a huge impact on our landfill sites and helped keep our city cleaner.
I live in Germany, where only the plastic garbage cans would be emptied, but only if there was nothing wrong in them and only 1 per household/ 1 can per 2 weeks, everything else would have to be taken to the landfill at your own expense.
@@BobBuddy_ interesting how various areas have their own ways of doing this. Our garbage bin pickup alternates weeks with the recycling bin and compost goes weekly. If you screw up what you put in each bin, the garbage truck won't take it.
Cars parked in front of garbage would be left behind my collectors. And items not in bags will be left behind as well. These guys do more than mine do by far.
They say don't piss off the people who handle your money or your food. I think we can add your garbage to that list as well. Look at Naples, Italy as an example of what can happen when the garbage collectors are pissed off and not happy. Trash piling up for MONTHS at times during garbage worker strikes.
Have you ever seen collage town student housing end of year move out? That is the most waste of good useable furniture I have ever seen. I understand they move out and can’t take it with them.
It’s unbelievable that you can throw a house full of crap on the street and they pick it all up. The pile at 44 min and 30 seconds would be a thousand dollars to have picked up If it’s not in a bin it’s ten bucks an item
In my country Denmark, they never collect furniture or other big items unless you have messaged the garbagecompany two weeks ahead and they only come three times a year.Other stuff like metal, plastic and paper are going in recycling bins and are collected every fourth week.Rest is collected every two weeks and there are only one man per truck.
I once work 4 years at a shopping center , overnights , and we d throw away tons of used and unused mannequins down the chute leading to the compactor and boy O boy , they would pop like mini-explosions
At 1:10:00 , there are two young guys helping out by loading their own couch into the truck - one of the guys was laughing and shouted "Goodbye couch!". I thought that was so funny!
Devastating the footage cuts out at 17:45. Any chance you have that somewhere else? So many toys and clothes waiting to be crushed! Would love to see that.
Amazing how much you can fit in those trucks.. Will the collected garbage just go to a landfill, or will the materials get sorted and if possible reused or burned for energy?
Some of these piles it feels like someone is just trolling these guys ... (don't get me wrong I know of a few that do this shit and it ain't funny yo) tbh I'm constantly amazed at how much these trucks can fit inside their compactors
It seems awful dangerous for these poor men to be lifting heavy furniture all day. God Bless them. It’s too bad the city doesn’t require these be put in a dumpster.
Well our bin men un the UK will not take furniture and rubbish placed out dside of the bin will not be taken and we have to put things in various recycle bins collected on different days put the wrong rubbish in the wrong bin they will not take it. We have to take certain items to the local tip our self or pay for someone to do it.
Disgusting the amount of waste I mean a lot of that furniture could be donated and put good use for people that would need stuff like that instead of just trashing it all
Don’t they have recycling in that town/city? And all that furniture…. Why not donate instead destruct 👎👎👎👎👎 In Australia we have bin collection and hard rubbish collection seperate, bin collection need no manpower to scoop the bins, is done mechanically👍👍👍
Are you aware that most of it ends up in the same dump or factory sitting there building up rubbish piles. Just because we have two trucks and get two or three bins does not mean it gets recycled. Speaking from inside experience seeing where it all ends up. It’s all a government rate rising exercise. They still pick up the same amount of trash yet get you to seperate it for you to pay higher taxes to empty it in two trucks. Green waste for example all get a extra bin that gets emptied weekly wether you want it or not you get to pay extra rates for it to be emptied and now your home composting is out the window as you pay a extra $180 a quarter on a bin not needed in most areas. How does all the farms in my area need a green waste recycle bin? All a scam to get more rates to local government.
Good Job Thanks you mehr Videos von 2 stunden lang😊😊👍🦺🦺🧤🧤🚧🚧The double axle at the back of the garbage truck, the tires are crooked, this is a sign that the tire or the axle is no longer straight, this must be checked in the workshop

Completely satisfying video, a job well done, impeccable timing and coordination!

It's crazy how much people throw away that can still be used. 😱
Have you ever seen a pack of unused diapers thrown away?

I wouldn’t want to have my workers recorded and broadcast leaving that much of a mess behind. Take some pride guys
So muss das sein Nicht wie in Deutschland ‼️ Wir müssen für jeden ScheiB Bezahlen ‼️
What are you showing? You're leaving behind a mess!!! I mean, those guys in the hats.
Well done my friends
They must not have a Goodwill in that town,or too many people that just don’t care 😒

No. Many places dont require it- it’s actually MORE expensive to recycle
17:38 why they did not throw the teddy bear in? :/
Wondering that too
that's a good thing
These guys should work from home. So the playing field is level with Govt office workers and big tech
We would have a lot of problems if that was the case

I was in that industry for almost a decade.. recycling must be separate.. bulkies like those are beyond being donated because of bed bugs
