It took three years, but someone finally labbed out a method that proves the lords can actually die in this game. Completely transforming the speedrunning meta with this discovery is just a bonus
I think you could've shaved a few seconds by having Edelgard discard her axe to save up on some counter attack times, but this new approach to VW speedruns will shake up the meta in a serious way
On turn 2 preferably, as you have her attacking on turn 1 player phase in order to take damage.

You might be able to improve the loading time by putting your Switch in a commercial-grade degausser. You won't have any loading time after that.

Is it true that most speedruns here are done on normal?
Yes. Most speed runs are done in normal in every fire emblem because it’s the most reliable although some games do have common hard mode speed runs
Most any% runs are done on normal since that's the fastest speed, but there are some exceptions. Notably Shadow Dragon is done on hard 1 instead of normal mode because hard 1 skips the tutorial. Outside of any% you have specific difficulty runs for completely different routing.
